Official 24 Season 8 Thread: 00:00:00

As far as villains go Marwan was definitely S-tier

It took 18 hours for him to be discovered, and even then he didn’t succumb to Bauer’s interrogations or die by Bauer’s hands. He also managed to evade CTU like 3 times and even did a counter-smirk before he died.

Countries which became Jack’s enemies:

China - S (they actually caught him and fucked him up for a while)
Russia - A (sseason1/8)
America - B (everything)
Mexico/Germany - C (I’m pretty sure they’re both mad at him for various reasons, nothing big.

Not a lot of people/buildings have lived to see 20 minutes after being given the Bauer Smirk IIRC. Tiers should be given out according to the amount of time that those people/objects survived after being stared at.

While it was from, easily, 24’s worst season, the top Bauer kill handily goes to that one time in season 6 where he was tied to a chair after being captured by terrorists, where he played dead and ended up biting the dude’s throat out, then spat out a mouthful of terrorist.

That’s the clip.

Yes, haha. That was pretty gruesome. Also, while not a kill, the teleport punch from season3 on nina was pretty oustanding.

Jack’s Women

S: Renee, Marilyn
A: Diane, Claudia
B: Audrey, Nina, Teri, Kate

I think that’s all of them.

Jack’s Women list is not complete without Claudia from Season 3, and Marilyn Bauer from season 6

I would put Claudia in A Tier with Diane, and Marilyn Bauer S Tier with Renee.

Just FINALLY got to watch the finale…

wow.

I got a lil teary eyed at the end, no lie.

Agreed. Marilyn “Pretty Eyes” Bauer would’ve done anything for Jack…

ANYTHING.

It was SRK that got me into 24 so I think it’s fitting for me to stop lurking and post for once.

I just have one thing to say about the ending:

Bravo.

Manly tears were shed. Long live The Bauer Power Hour.

“new” thread title too :frowning:

:wow: where have you been?

I like to know what happens to everyone after the last ep dammit. What the fuck! We obviously know what happens to Logan, but that is it. What about everyone else? Give me closure!

Logan needs to be S tier. He was a badass villain President.

S tier bauer kill - The one from day 7 where jack performed an amazing ultra combo finsh consisting of throwing a screwdriver into the enemy’s chest followed by a 2x4 plank to the head.

That one is for me, the best jack kill in 24

Yeah that is one of, if not the best Bauer kill, mostly for the fact that it was done on one of the few “worthy opponents” in the series.

I’d have to go with this season’s Modern Warfare 2 kill streak when Jack saved Renee from the Russians.

I really wanted to get some random thoughts about the series finale out of my brain, so apologies for the lack of organization in this post. I guess it’s kind of a brain dump.

  1. How about that cat fight between Taylor and Hassan? That was really tense and… kind of a turn on. Hahaha.

  2. Let’s give a round of applause to Cole. I mean, seriously, he made it through the season without getting his hand chopped off, getting a face full of acid, or dying.

  3. Speaking of Cole, is he gonna be the one to save us all now? Given the history of the U.S. in the 24 universe, someone is gonna blow something up real soon, and if Jack is now off running around in Europe or God knows where, the U.S. is DOOMED. Someone else needs to step up. I wonder if it’s Cole who will be the one saving us all now.

  4. Chloe. God I love her. Can you believe she survived the whole time? Seriously, major proprs to Chloe for surviving everything from machine gunning down terrorists, attempts to kill her to frame Jack, poison gas at CTU, going up against Jack Bauer, and, BY FAR the most dangerous thing of all: becoming head of CTU.

  5. Logan is awesome. Such a slimy character, he’s so good at being bad it’s not funny. TOTAL antithesis to Palmer, one man with the utmost of shintegrity, the other with the utmost of sleaziness. It was awesome the way they managed to give us both sides of the coin for what a president can do.

  6. Though not sure why Logan felt compelled to kill Pillar if he was gonna shoot himself anyhow. Maybe he was worried that Pillar would try to stop him from killing himself? I dunno, can’t say I feel too badly for Pillar, though he did have a family, which kind of sucked. But yeah, as Magnetro pointed out to me in a separate conversation, Logan is so inept, at times, he even failed to kill himself properly. Also, is it funny to anyone else that one of the seasons that has the warden from Shawshank in it is the one where Logan tries to take himself out in that fashion?

  7. Poor President Taylor. Normally I think it would be unrealistic for her character to go so bad at the end when she’s been so full on integrity in the previous season and early in this season, but man… that’s the true power of Logan.

  8. I honestly did think the people kidnapping Jack at the end were the Patriots as well. I was 100% expecting Tony Almeida to pop out of one of those masks. I consider it a twist that it didn’t happen!

Anyhow, if I think of any more random thoughts, I’ll throw them out there later, but just wanted to get these things off my chest for now.

Oh, and:

Yes, that was a MAJOR integral part of the story, because after being tortured for so long, Jack needed to get energy and strength back, and that’s when he vampired the life force from that guy as Count Jackula, as he was lovingly referred to as by someone on this forum.

CTU Director Tiers

Banned: Jack
S: Mason, Chloe
A: Bill, Tony

Am I missing anyone? There have been a lot of directors over the years. The turnover rate is pretty small.
