that’s been the on and off rumor since like season 6. I remember someone posted something about 24’s contract being extended for 2 more years – no one was really sure it would come back after this season cause they’ve used everything they could (and then some). I wish the show ended after season 4, there were wayyy to many new people from there on.
If they HAD KEPT the new people and built up their stories instead of killing them, the show wouldn’t have been so crappy for a bit.
Imagine if some of the people from S4-6 were still around? The show wouldn’t have to resort to terrible storylines like Jenny.
ANywya, I’m still annoyed tony has been afk the whole season. FWIW, Renee is probably the best thing to come out of the new seasons, her character is pretty interesting since it’s very parallel to Jacks.
I think 24 may as well end, because the show has done everything that it’s allowed to do. After S1, the show has been locked into a variation of the same ‘Jack saves the US from some WMD nonsense’ plot. I wanted more randomness in the series-- like Jack on the opposite side of the law (as in shoot on sight), and/or of course, the JACK VS ONE BILLION CHINESE epic that never happened. Looking at 24 Redemption and the S5 ending/S6 prequel, it’s obvious that they wanted to take 24 in a different direction, but they didn’t have the budget or permission to stretch it out for an entire season.
I blame Fox for 24 turning out the way it did. Makes me wonder what could have been if the show landed on HBO, or another network that doesn’t hold all their shows under a guillotine.
im glad dana is the mole, her character was fucking boring and lame as shit. every time her conflicting past came up i just skipped that shit with quickness, missing out on some possible good boob shots.
WTB the return of tony…again.
ps. fuck fox and their stupid ass. give the show to HBO so they can turn it into what it was always meant to be.
ya i noticed every season now, jack has to follow “CTU regulations” and codes of ethic. I think they should end the series with Tony saying “its not over jack”
and the new show called like “Tony” where he is now in Jacks role
