Last season I think this was mostly ignored due to
A) all the characters we cared about dead already and
B) it was a shitty season so most took desperate measure to care anymore
…but “Not today!”
bitch is coming back…along with Chase
took 7 seasons, 13 years (24 timeline) for Jack to finally get some recognition that he did save his country.
god i love this show, the recaps just add the extra flair aswell.
STONE COLD BUCKY reminds me of this guy. If that live-action movie ever got made, he’d be perfect for the role.
About damn time, technically he has saved the world from WWIII at least 2 times already.

I won’t be surprised if S8 will finally be WWIII. I mean, where else can they go?

Nah, the reason why 24 started to suffer is because everything was about escalation. S1 was actually pretty small-scale if you think about it. Then from S2 it turned into a one-up show, to the point where when we got to S6, it’d gotten old. It’d probably gotten old by S4, but both S4 and S5 threw in some other things to distract us from that. Think about it - they set off a nuke in downtown LA in S6, and everyone was just like “yawn.” WTF kind of TV show can say that they bored their viewers with a nuke?! 
I think for S8 they should take it back to the small-scale, personal level. We’ve got a cast of characters who the viewers are invested in, and who have relationships with each other, so we don’t need some kind of grand, over-arching terrorist plot that has to one-up the previous seasons. Just make it insanely personal.
