I’m done with Hassan. Dude is incredible, and doesn’t get enough opportunities on offense, but he’s still not where he needs to be in order to become great. Mentally, he’s a midget. It’s frustrating.
I honestly want Whiteside to be in the league for a long time; the dude can be entertaining and a force on the floor. And his career comeback is cool. I thought the Heat were the perfect team for him to gain some discipline/focus. They got a good mix of young guys and respectable vets. Plus the Heat organization has a lot of winning history and Riley is in charge. Yet he is still doing this crap.
Yeah, that’s probably one of the few scenarios. But still, after breaking some records and getting the taste of the rare triple-double, I question whether he can revert to a strict role on the floor.
I think Pop is smart enough to let him do his thing - block shots, rebound and then give him a couple touches on offense to keep him motivated. If his offensive game is as good as Geo says (haven’t seen many Heat games this season), Pop would find a way to exploit that.
Houston hasn’t played that bad really - they lost track of Curry too many times early and as usual he hit a couple “nothing you can do about it” shots. The Rockets played decent defense against everyone else, not allowing too many set shot 3-point attempts being the biggest thing.
D12 forces GS to keep Bogut on the floor, which stops them from going to their small lineup. If Howard can stay out of foul trouble, they could make it interesting. Still be surprised if Houston wins though.
On another note, Hayward looked like Kemba on that game winner.
This is exactly the point of a game where Warriors make it impossible. You have a lead or make it close, they either murder you with their passing or Steph demoralizes you with a couple threes. Then it just piles on until you lose.
I’ve been telling dudes that Harrison Barnes is dangerous early in the 4th. Whenever a team is hanging around w/ the Warriors, he kills it to start the fourth.
