I do not see a problem with that to be honest as long as the player can be good as a coach, I can see Garnett doing something similar to that if he wants to coach in Minnesota. Problem with Kidd and Fisher, is it is all about them and not about the team. That and Milwaukee went full retard and let Kidd be coach and GM. Kidd has the knowledge to be a coach but his ego gets in the way.
I dunno, league kinda boring right now. It’s Warriors leagues ahead of everyone, then the Spurs who are ahead of everyone but behind the Warriors, the OKC/Raps bracket who would be good enough in any other year, and then 10-12 super middling teams that can’t find much consistency.
Honestly, outside of Toronto making a strong playoff run, I couldn’t care less what happens this season. I hope KD joins some other good team to at least try and challenge GS. Maybe KD to the Spurs.
Only thing Bosh does better is threes, which Gasol doesn’t do. Bosh is not a post threat (5 shots in the paint, 13 outside in the last game). Gasol is more rebounds, more assists, more blocks, more inside offense… you get the picture.
Hell, he would have been here two summers ago if that guy in Cleveland didn’t leave.
I haven’t been watching Bosh a lot so I can’t really comment on what he’s been doing lately.
I assumed he had stepped up his production since Lebron left. But it’s not like Gasol is blowing him out of the water.
Jae knows, since he has both Bosh and Gasol on his fantasy team. Bosh has been great for us… he’s our leading scorer, has made clutch baskets, clutch defensive plays… but he’s not on Gasol’s level of production. Gasol is Whiteside and Bosh combined, even at this stage of his career.
Trade Deng and Whiteside for Gasol, then pick up a legit outside shooter that can spread the floor. Miami becomes a problem that nobody wants to deal with.
Just for comparison this is Gasol vs Bosh at this point in the season, also keep in mind Gasol got off to a horrific start to the season.
Bosh: 19.1 Points, 7.4 Boards, 2.4 Assist, 1.6 3pt, .7 steals and blocks, .466 pct shooting, .79 pct from the line
Certainly not terrible, good production, first option on team
Gasol: 16.9 Points, 10.9 Boards, 3.3 Assist,.3 3pt, .6 steals, 2 blocks, .474 pct shooting, .805 from the line
Gasol is at best the third option on his team because Rose is a fucking idiot, more blocks more boards, better shooting, better defense.
Only thing Bosh has on him is speed and Bosh has been moving slower this year than he ever has and his 3 point range. Even at 37/38 years old Gasol is a fucking beast of a player.
