If that trade did go down probably for Faried and Galo or Barton and a 1st rounder.
You’re living in an era where people get bored of one entity being seen on top of the mountain after a while. See the Patriots, the Lebron-led Heat, Ronda Rousey, etc.
The difference between the Bulls of the 90s and the Dubs now is that the Bulls did what they did among with teams just as good. They didn’t do anything different from anyone else but they simply did it better, making it fun to watch. They would win constantly but their opponents were able to keep it competitive.
The Dubs have basically invented a new meta in basketball that makes it difficult for everyone else to keep up. You basically know that they are going to win so what’s the point of watching?
warriors have only been this good for 1 1/2 years, and not many even believed it until they actually won the championship. hell, even after they won, people wanted to asterisk the title.
now people are bored because they are too good? bruh.
this team almost lost to the sixers last week.
Warriors fans just have to soak it in while you can. As history shows, these dominant teams usually have a shelf life of 4-5 years.
Le2-4 is probably done winning championships as long as the Spurs and Warriors are elite.
Bulls need to just go ahead and send out fliers for Rose and see if anyone is interested, I would trade him for a ball boy atm. Noah is coming off the books I believe after the year and I would try to shop Gasol to see if you can get value for him and build around Butler. As they are, they are not a title contender. Funny how everyone blamed Thibs for their issues, but they are worse this year in every way statistically and their starters are still getting ran almost 40 minutes a night.
I think we are seeing the beginning of the end of Beal in Washington as well, he has a ton of potential but he is hurt every other month.
Miami will not trade Whiteside, they will try to ride the season out with him and see how far they can get. The only exception being if a team really offers them something spectacular.
Heat are 5-1 since Spoelstra changed the offense. It’s sad it took until January for him to notice what needed to be changed. Fucking scrub.
I really don’t think Spo is a bad coach, he is not great but he is solid. The guy actually puts more time into drawing up plays then people realizes and doesn’t take shit from his players.
Spo rarely draws plays. David Fizdale does. That’s why Fiz is next up for a head coaching job in the league, and people outside of the organization are very high on him.
Spoelstra doesn’t have a single set play for either Dragic or Whiteside. That’s why Hassan is perceived as offensively limited, or why Dragic has struggled all year. He was trying to get by with Bosh/Wade iso for half the year, now they’re suddenly focused on ball movement.
His player management is awful. A guy will play well for 5 minutes and not get seen again, or a guy will struggle all night and play the most minutes out of anyone. He refuses to trap players, that’s why guys like Harden and Paul George have torched us this season.
But he’s a good defensive coach overall. That’s undisputed. Heat have held 16 teams to under 40% this year. No other team has done that.
And every now and then he pulls a genius move, like making Bosh a center in the middle of the 2012 playoffs.
Still, he’s a stubborn bitch. And more often than not, a loss can be credited to his lack of vision in certain situations.
Yeah I give you his player management is not always the best, he struggles with rotations but his bench is pretty ass overall this year.
Dragic has the ball alot but they should call more P+R with him and Bosh as they are highly effective. Dragic himself attributed his struggles to him trying to fit in instead of just play and Wade wanting an increased offensive role on the team. Whiteside is just not a good offensive player, his one game where he shines does not make up for the 7 other games where he is a liability. Whiteside is overrated defensively as well, he is basically DeAndre without DeAndre’s hustle.
Stat needs more play on the second unit though as the other can make up for his shitty defense and he can provide a decent scoring punch.
Yet another triple double for Whiteside.
Okay, so now 6-1 since the new offense was put in. 7 games over 500 for the first time since early January.
Now if Miami can get a shooter at the deadline, I’ll be very happy.
FFS…Jimmy got hurt. Hope it’s nothing to serious
I’m pretty sure Pat had his hand in that
But he walked off celebrating before the ball went in!
Lmao
Pat shows Spoelstra a picture of Stan Van Gundy tied up in a car trunk every time he starts acting like a fuccboi.
Rose trash. Smh.
Wow it really was 62-26 at the half, I know it’s against the Spurs but come on bruh
yo, zaza is a POS
Then they blew an 18pt lead. Playoffs berth is fading away.
