Official 2010 MLB season/fantasy baseball thread

I disagree with a loooot of this list, too lazy to post my arguements/list tho

Constructive crucifixtion is always encouraged.

I probably have Lind high to some but a guy who can hit 40 HR with an AVG over .300 is golden. Who knows when Carlos Beltran will be healthy so I can’t put him too high. I could have switched Tier 6 and 7 but I tend to stick with upside. I probably have Chris Coghlan too low especially if he’s going to hit leadoff for the Marlins. Same thing could be said about Juan Pierre.

I disagree with the outfield list much more than your other tier lists. I am not going to offer criticism though, because I don’t want to give away my draft strategy.

imo.

Mock draft time. :coffee:

imo.

You buttfaces did the other trade.

That makes me sad. :frowning:

EDIT - Unless Sigley is just going to trade me the 6th pick and that 7th or whatever he said for my number 3 to make the 3 way deal complete?

CLint: New draft time is no good for me. I will be on a flight heading back to Texas at that time.

imo.

So who the heck has the first pick? Or as I like to call it pick 1A.

Lothar has it. I was going to get it to him anyway.

I was going to get the 4th and 6th pick overall and Sigleys 7th or something? Whatever.

Are you happy with either Pujols or Hanley or did you prefer one to the other, by you referencing it as pick 1A I’ll assume you’d be happy with both.

imo.

He’s on that lettuce again.

If you were to put a gun to my head and make me choose one I’d probably rather have Hanley Ramirez. If I have to ā€œsettleā€ for Albert Pujols though I’m okay with that.

I see. I am still flip-flopping about which player I am going to draft first. My decision seems to change every day.

imo.

Fuuucckk is it too late to join this? Didn’t even see the thread till now (then again, don’t go on GD much).

I might sound like a homer, but the Giants pitching has me salivating. Tiny Tim, Cain, revitalized Zito, young stud in Bumgarner…too good. Our offense looks decent too now that Sanchez is healthy. Dodgers suck, Dbacks are free to strikeouts, Padres in turmoil…division is ours to lose.

No might about it. Nothing necessarily wrong with that (within reason) but personally the Giants look like the 3rd best in the NL West right now. Dodgers aren’t looking as loaded as people thought they might have been a couple of years back but there’s still a bunch of talent on the team. The Diamondbacks are looking good with Webb and Jackson coming back.

Freddy Sanchez isn’t all that healthy either.

A crap load of off seasons trades already? Wow this league is on crack! 7 trades and 6 went through! (my 1st one didn’t b/c draft order wasn’t set.)

I don’t usually care for spring training, but it’s nice to see baseball on the TV again.

Go Phillies

Yes, very nice to see baseball back on. This wait for the season to start kills me…

I think I’m going to officially start the Pittsburgh Pirates bandwagon this year, with hopes of relevancy…uh…three years down the line.

Also, I don’t think I’m getting enough heartbreak and frustration out of my own home town franchise, I need more. But not enough to root for the Mets or the Cubs though, I want heartbreak and frustrations balanced by extremely low expectations.

These guys have been hoarding prospects forever now, and I think they may finally have a season…in three years or so…like Tampa Bay’s when enough of their first rounders eventually paid off at the same time. Pittsburgh also has the advantage of playing in the NL and in a division with only the Cardinals, Cubs, and the Brewers - not like the Rays who have to compete in the AL East.

Andrew McCutchen and Pedro Alvarez in 2013…GET HYPE.

And the result will be the same as if you had started this bandwagon 3 years ago.
