I called him a dumbass and made fun of his wife for being picky and he came back with the typical “I’m an old dude on the internet and I can’t handle criticism” response and said I was jealous that he was married (lol enjoy your one vagina for eternity)

Yeah… I’d love to see some good stuff tonight, but I don’t really see it happening. There are no stats or stories from the first three games that suggest there should be anything like hope. Still have talented forwards and a talented goalie, yes, but they sure haven’t looked like it so far. I’m not blaming anything on Hiller, even though he was pulled against the Blues. He had 4 goals against, yes, but he also had a save percentage of .925. What does that tell you? The Ducks have horrible defense and give up thousands of shots on goal. I don’t care who you have in net, some of those are gonna get in.
I live in Los Angeles now, but while I’m from SoCal, I’m not from the city of Los Angeles. The Ducks and Kings are located only about 30 miles from each other and kinda near the north-south center of “Southern California”, which is geographically larger than 25 US states. So I didn’t have to pick the Kings, although it’s true that since I’m from a little bit northwest of LA, I’m from more of a Kings region than a Ducks region (which is more like southeast of LA). I found hockey on my own, so I didn’t really have any connection to the Kings’ 25 or so years of history in LA before I started watching. My first season of watching hockey was actually the same year the Ducks came into the league. So I followed them a bit because of that, although for many years my favorite team was the Penguins just because I really liked Mario Lemieux. Eventually I decided it was stupid to follow the Penguins when I had two teams in my backyard, and since the Ducks had already been my second team for years, I went with them. I have a Ducks jersey and hats etc from the early-mid 90s, but it wasn’t until about 2000 that they became my main team. Then I lived in Washington DC for a few years in the late 2000s so I picked up the Caps as my 2nd team.
But yes, my hockey friends are all Kings fans and they all make fun of me for liking the Ducks.
make fun of them for not winning the cup, even with the Great One. I laugh at my best friend (the BIGGEST LA Kings fan on earth) all the time about shit like that. And for having Poni on their teams.

Welcome to 2010, Ryan Getzlaf-Corey Perry-Bobby Ryan-Teemu Selanne-Jonas Hiller-Dan Sexton! 4-3 over Vancouver, and 2 of Vancouver’s goals were crazy random deflections that you can’t fault Hiller for. Still gave up 39 shots and that’s too many, but it’s way, way better than the 50+ shots they gave up last game. Also gave up 2 goals in 40 seconds or less for the third time in four games (wow), but again, one of those was a crazy deflection that shouldn’t have been allowed as a shot in the first place, but it’s not like it went in because of a complete breakdown or terrible goaltending. Some signs of hope for the Duckies.
first time in like a decade we’ve been 3-0. Let me enjoy it

how did you feel about the reffing? I don’t like to blame the zebras personally but there were a few calls/missed calls where I was tearing my hair out.
The game winner for example should have been called 2 many men, although the bad change by the canucks basically set up the 3 on 1. The 2 separate 5 on 3 powerplays, the first one on Kesler deflected off Selannes stick and out of play.
