is this thread broken?
uhhhh
This thread needs a revival.
Catrap, by Asmik. It’s a rare original Gameboy puzzle gem that features several features associated with later games like rewinds (Braid, Prince of Persia, Blinx, etc.) and double-character puzzles.

It’s got a nice soundtrack too

As well as a history shrouded in the mists of time.
Bubble bump. I never played or heard of this game until recently. It’s called “Ore no Shikabane o Koete Yuke,” “Over my Dead Body.” Came out for PS1 then re-remade on PSP

Shadow ManThe game was on the N64 with the expansion pak, dreamcast and PS1 (ugliest version BY FAR), one of the most under rated games of all time.

Spyro The Dragon The first 3 games on the PS1 were AMAZING, everything else is shit.

Soul Revear, Dreamcast version has some of the best graphics on the system like SM. Really great puzzle action game.

Dance Game Bust-A-Groove 1 and 2… Loved the soundtracks (Better in JPN ver.) and it was hella fun back on PSX.
None of these games are obscure.
I’d say Alpha Protocol was kind of obscure from this gen, and every Yakuza game and Suda51 game of the past two generations.
Yakuza and Suda games need more exposure, they deserve to sell better, because they’re always great games and are a 100X more memorable than most “AAA” games I’ve played this generation.
These games sell horribly and I’ve yet to meet someone IRL that’s played any of these games.
Tearaway will become obscure soon, if its sales were anything to go by.
Don’t know how obscure it is, but I never hear about Robocop vs. Terminator on the Genesis. It’s a pretty fun action/platformer that is also really gory. I believe there was even a code to make it even more violent. Check it out sometime if you dig that source material. I never played the SNES game but I think it’s considerably different and given the time of its release, probably nowhere near as violent.
If there was an adventure game about insects, this should be the one!

I loved this game on the Genesis. It’s basically Road Rash with skates.
I have a weird memory for Skitchin’, a game I’ve never played. But I remember the ad in EGM for the game had the word “Bitchin’” in it. Some one wrote EGM a letter the next month and said they found the ad really offensive due to that word. I remember thinking that guy sounded like the biggest pussy in the world.
Jet Set Radio Future. Don’t know that it’s obscure so much as largely ignored. JSRF was one of the main reasons I got an Xbox and it was additively fun for me. Plus…Jazz.

GUNVALKYRIE anyone?
Just ignored because it was on the original xbox. It came packed in with every xbox sold for a very long time so its not obscure at all.
