One thing about Wright that I was hoping wouldn’t be more widely-discovered is that he can indeed be grabbed out from inside Maya’s shield. Even normal throws will get him when he’s in there. I was hoping that that one would stay somewhat unknown, but people seem to be discovering it anyway, so whatever.
People discovered that the first time I played Wright lol.
But it’s no problem. It’s easy to tell if people will normal throw you, and as for (most) command throws you simply need to back off enough from people who have them, or try to punish people attempting one.
Unless you’re fighting Super-Skrull, who can grab you from pretty much anywhere…
I don’t know if it’s been discovered yet but here we go :
In investigation mode, when you call Maya (the shield), you can Team Super (crossover combination) even with only one meter during or after (whe she runs off screen !) the shield animation.
But it doesn’t work with Maya’s OTGs.
I think it’s pretty cool, use one meter just after the shield to get more evidences when the opponent is too close.
You can team super after maya otg pops the opponent up off the ground. Don’t try to team super when she hits, that won’t work, gotta time the super so that the opponent is just about to start falling back down when you press it.
I didn’t knew that and it looks like a kind-of viable tactic to surprise opponents
It’s an okay trick, but not so much a legit tactic. Most of the time, Wright is going to want to be saving his bars as much as possible. I guess if you were near-death and needed a last piece of evidence or something, it might be effective to buy time?
Perhaps you could also use it at the end of combos as an alternative to Mode Change -> Order in the Court? If you have more than one bar and a partner with a long lasting hyper it can probably allow for more time to gather evidence, too. >.>
Actually I’ve been using it quite a bit for motions to expedite. Combo into air series, land, otg maya, team super w/ Nemesis/Dante evidence x5. Or combo into air series, land, otg maya, team super, dash, combo into objection, kill character.
i feel like PW Players should be commended and respected for the hard work their putting in to try and make mister wright a viable character
even though it may make things a lot harder than they need to be i can assure you that there’s nothing more satisfying than getting all the evidence landing that objection and taking some people to court right in the middle of a battle
sure you could use someone different but why would you when you can use a lawyer and absolutely annoy the hell out of you’re opponent by forcing them to play against a character that isn’t like anyone else in the game and has no attacks at all that really qualify as attacks
he is the most unique character in the game and if you put in time and effort learning how to make that original play style work to your advantage then not only will you be having fun but you’ll also be having legit matches and not just casual joke battles
I need to keep doing training before I break out my Wright team of PW, ammy, and morrigan. And besides my team has the best DHC…Why? When Morrigan does a super she says," Mr.Wright". You know it’s boss when you get that.
Nothing more fun than to have a lobby full of people spectating as you beat each one in turn with PW/Tron/Trish.
My friend came in yesterday and just flat out raped me a good fifty matches with a team of Nemesis / Task / Akuma (seriously the most boring god damn team I’ve ever played against) and I played my team and 75% of the time PW was first and he just lost, bad.
I’m going to have to go back into ‘the’ lab to work on things but I’m positive that I’d do better if he’s second instead of first. I’m thinking of using Trish as well.
I mean my ‘real’ team nets me more wins and works easy but I swear there’s just something about playing this son of a bitch that has me grinning ear to ear even when I lose 50 games in a row.
strangely i prefer putting him on point rather than having him as my second character since i hate being in a position where i’ve lost one of my characters and i have to somehow use my only other character to properly defend wright while he searches for evidence
even with meter it can be a frustrating task…and yes wright at point can be incredibly risky but i would rather gather up all the evidence or at least 2 good pieces before tagging him out so that i know if one of my other characters goes down that i still have a shot at turnabout
Well I only suggest the second spot because the first character will be able to help him out way better then just being an assist.
Like I can totally combo with Trish and then throw out boomerang super and go to town with collecting evidence afterwards.
Holidays are getting closer so what a better way to celebrate that with a good bottle of wine, maybe one like this:

Christ lol, I want that and I don’t even drink.
Japan really knows how to empty your wallet.
Well… since we found out his godlike assist isn’t so godlike. We need to be smart.
What about the taste “Pimp Green” that comes with the design of Godot?
not really…just gotta call out the assist when they can’t do a thing about it(for example when they come rushing at you or do a projectile/rushing hyper combo)
most of the time the opponent won’t be able to accurately punish it when you call it out because it’ll be too late and they would of already done what they were gonna do
besides a small number of people you fight will know he’s vulnerable from the rear but that’s a very small number
not everyone does research on phoenix wright so they don’t really know too much about the properties of his moves
it’s like how some people in mvc3 didn’t realize arthur’s lances bypassed other projectiles
because hardly anyone played arthur
Sorry but if I will drink something with the face of Godot it better be a good cup of coffee
