I should probably know this but, is the air Objection overhead? If it is, you could use a low assist like Felicia’s Rolling Buckler or She-Hulk’s Torpedo to make an unblockable. If not… I dunno >_>
I’m using Hsien-Ko with golden Pendulum so I won’t have as much trouble, since if they don’t block I get it for free, and if they do I can at least get in safely. But otherwise, if his normals are really that bad then this could be a problem. All the more reason not to use Wright as an anchor, he really seems like the most assist dependant character in the game at this point…
I won’t wrtie off the maya super as a waste, its a damn good way of building meter, its great to end a block string with because if you miss the damage at least now you have an oppurtunity to gather evidence, switch modes, or just think for a second whihc you will need a lot of with wright, Also Zephil your idea of rushing down just always brings a giggle to me man, i’d love to play him like that i hate the tactic that is involved with him but you’d really be better off running back for evidence, plust i don’t think you will be able to block string and end with a maya becasue she may still be running off the screen by end of super. so you’d be pretty open after a string
Not sure about overhead properties, Even so the move is just so damn hard to get out in the air dut o start up time, that’s really going to take “spacing” you have to do it from a little further back then expected jumping horizontal and trying to do it is a horrible idea going to want to do it from a slant, i’ll try it out again after work today.
Alright guys I found it.
If you have the game pick Hulk as an opponent, get Wright into turnabout mode and switch him out. Get full screen distance away from each other and make Hulk do a Gamma Crush. In the super’s startup mash Wright’s assist button. You’ll see that Hulk hits Wright and damages him.
This will at least prove that he’s not invincible, and we can figure out more from there. To me it looks like it has to be a physical attack to hurt him, and his vulnerability is only about 2 or 3 frames tops.
Test with Chun li’s kikosho and houyokusen. both last a long time so you can test thoroughly when it’s invincible and stuff.
I’ve found a practical combo in his turnabout mode that does right under 1mil and uses only 1 bar. No assist or anything.

also i dont really see the whole, get wright to turnabout and then tag him out for his invincible press the witness assist thing as being a super good strategy in the long run. sometimes it can be hard to get hsien ko into gold armour safely via DHC if you arent doing so well with your point character, and PW will need hella loads more work to gather his evidence on point, swap to courtroom, then either tag out to character 2 early to TAC the objection or start the combo himself and tag out afterwards.
i hope it works out but i cant see all that preperation required paying off enough to make it worth it. part of the reason tron and haggar assist was so good is cause you could just sit them in the back and spam the shit out of it from second 0 in a match, and they had enough health to make killing them difficult even if you did get a happy birthday etc.

I know I can do better than that too. The fact that his Objection stuns on every other hit in turnabout mode and leaves them in an OTG state opens up a lot of options for him.
So then it looks like Objection works like Haggar’s counterhit headbutt in air. Cool.

So someone told me Wright’s Press the Witness isn’t 100% invincible in Turnabout mode…anyone got proof? I was whoring this out on Saturday and I don’t think Wright took any damage from looking at the stream footage when I went back to review my matches.

Great vid Russell! btw the guide says that 4 hold it in investigation mode to stun the opponent and 3 in trial and turnabout mode.
Thanks dude! Turnabout is for sure two though, dunno why the guide says 3. I even built that combo around it.
From looking at the video, it seems that you didn’t count the first objection that got PW into Turnabout mode.
Yeh that’s true, but once your in Turnabout mode the stun count resets so the initial Objection doesn’t really matter.
A stun always happens on every other Objection in turnabout mode. The only exception is if you hit them with an Objection while they are stunned, that Objection won’t count towards the next stun.
anybody with the guide willing to tell how much frame advantage on block/hit does Hold It and Objection have?
