The first post has SSF4 for ps3. I think your covered.

Well I’m free on the weekends, 'cept for the 24th/25th weekend.

NR^2 check your mailbox

Sorry for the delayed response, I was busy with family staying at my house. I sent an e-mail to get in touch with Sanganator so hopefully I’ll ve able to announce the first date for these gatherings very soon.

For those with concerns, I only have SSFIV on PS3 and do not own an Xbox, so when this gets set up someone would have to supply a 360 and a monitor for Xbox users.

Also, from the looks of things people seem to only be interested in SSFIV and none of the older fighters in my first post… Is it a correct assumption that I’m the only interested party in old fighters? (ToT)

Whats up! I live in that little Island thing next to Oakland…(yeah the one no one knows about)

Anyways Im down for some meet up/fight sessions. Im usually only available weekends though (I work 40-60 hrs a week). I have a 360 with ssfiv/mvc2 that I could chug along. Keep me in the loop and we will all work something out

I’d be down to donate for this thing and on a side note if anyone is interested I’d be down to get some Alameda or Oakland casuals.

I don’t mind playing those games. But I don’t know enough about THOSE games to be any good at it, so I can’t guarantee you’ll get anything out of fighting me. lol But I like to play all fighting games.

so is this going to happen? nobody has posted anything for a while

I e-mailed your friend but haven’t heard anything back yet… I’m ready to go, just need to know where to bring my equipment.

To be honest the only fighting games in my collection that I’m actively playing are SSFIV, TvC and 3s… Other than that the rest of my collection is feeling the sting of neglect, something I’d like to change with this event if I can ever find a venue to host it at…

yo dis ever goin dwn ?

Hello, I’m DKL from the EUDEMONIA thread, a venue that’s held every week (Saturday) in Berkeley.

I’m bumping this and hoping to get into contact with the thread creator since we’ve apparently stumbled onto a great venue and are now in search of people willing to bring some desperately needed setups (in particular: we need monitors).

It’s not set in stone yet (because it’s possible that I was being stupid and didn’t pay enough attention when I was speaking with the manager), but from what I can understand, the shop is willing to lend space to us at around $3 PER PERSON… so, we bring our own setups and just kick $3 per person to the shop…

In any event, I’ll be more certain about these terms when NORCAL INSTALL happens next week…

That said, if people are interested, please post in our thread and chime in; we gotta get them setups!

From what I understand the Eudemonia gatherings are more competitive in nature, whereas I’m trying to establish an event where players of all skill levels can gather and hone their fighting skills and techniques without the pressure of a “buy-in” or tournament setting. I find that if players are forced to relinquish some of their hard earned shillings, their concentration is more on the money instead of on having fun and improving their game. Additionally I’d like to make available some older/lesser known/classic fighters in order to expand repertoires and expand appreciation outside of current generation fighters.

In terms of attending the Saturday Eudemona events, I’d be unable to attend (and subsequently bring my equipment) until after 6PM due to my work schedule, however if it’s just for the sake of contributing to the buy-in events I’m a little bit hesitant to commit. I wouldn’t mind covering the $3 to set up for people to play casuals and old fighters (listed on the first post), but I’m resistant to lug my equipment for a cash prize setting.

I’d be more than happy to announce the first of these events, however I still don’t have a location to host it at…
