O.J Simpson has been granted parole - he'll be out by October (at the earliest)

Good for the Juice. Sure he might have bullet dodged that murder charge but 33 years for stealing your own shit? Common now. Plus hes broke and old AF, hes gonna have to do the talk show circuit and live the rest of his life as a clown just to get by, its actually like white people want him out cause its gonna be harder for him.

Broke as fuck? The juice has that nfl pension

so can someone break down for me what he actually did wrong. cause i heard he got robbedā€¦and he went to get his stuff back but because he locked the robbers in a room it was considered kidnapping. right?

Heā€™ll be home in time to carve the white meat for Thanksgiving

But Juice is also has massive debts.

Juice was pretty much force to sell his stuff to pay off his debts, unfortunately for him the one person juice never wanted to have his things came into possession. Louis Hezekiel Brown the father if his dead wife won against Juice in a civil case for the murder. Combined with his legal fees for his earlier criminal case Juice was in massive debt (tens of millions). Hence why he sold his shit including his heisman trophy.

Juice and his buddies had a plan to break in and get his shit back and the whole thing went sideways, Obviously brown set him up in a trap but no one can pin shit on Brown.
Its only obvious that Juice broken into a Vegas Penthouse and some how got a kidnapping charge also added.

IIRC OJ only paid a fraction of what was owed to the Brown and Goldman families before dodging them by moving out of state. He moved to Florida because your estate cannot be seized to collect debt.

Itā€™s 2017 and people still feel sorry for a man that got away with double murder? Yā€™all wack.

whos feelin bad? i was just confused what happened.

According to the article the pension money canā€™t be seized by creditors.

Man I love that special

After seeing the pathetic reactions on Twitter, I am more thankful than ever Twitter wasnā€™t around in the majority of my lifetime. And some of the Tweets were promoted by Twitter which is proving itself to be a pathetic ā€œliberalā€ platform comfortable with pathetic and racially dividing ā€œwhite people act likeā€ slurs.

100% true. I was barely apathetic about hearing about OJ 7 years ago when he went to jail and the other day when they set him free.

But holy shit, go back one generation and it was this big thing. They were on facebook the other day bashing OJ, ā€œhe got away with murdering two of the whitest angels every put on this earth and he should be in jail foreverā€. And no, I didnā€™t say anything, I just hid their post. Some of them are family, better to keep nice.

I donā€™t see them sharing posts when innocent black people or poor people get murdered, much less kids on the other side of the planet.

Only exception is if they knew the person, likely through their kids.

Itā€™s an example not direct racism or anything like that, itā€™s institutional racism, classicism, and generally the way humans have evolved to not GAF about people outside their circle. TV broke through that barrier and made OJā€™s trial personal, somehow.

White people get away with crimes all the time, but when one, famous black man does (and only prison), they got their knickers in a twist.

The Juice ran for over 2000 yards in a 14 game season. Thatā€™s worth a get out of jail free card.

9 years for Armed Robbery is a lil too much lol

I mean, there were a lot of layers to the OJ case. It came off the back of the LA riots. There was a lot of racial tension and allegations of the LAPD being racist. Cochranā€™s entire defense relied on a conspiracy theory that the LAPD was out to get OJ, despite the evidence of the contrary. On top of all that, OJ was a huge celebrity at the time, so of course it became a huge, high profile case. Itā€™s interesting to go back and read up or watch documentaries on the case since it was a complete circus. Pretty sure a majority of us here on SRK were children at the time of the trial and donā€™t remember anything of importance. However, you strip away all the fluff and bullshit, at the end of the day, a man walked for very obviously killing two innocent people. That sucks.

There were also the prosecutionā€™s mistakes, like sloppy evidence handling, having O.J. try on the recovered gloves, and putting Mark Fuhrman on the stand (though that couldnā€™t be avoided). Not that itā€™s all the prosecutionā€™s fault; just throwing that in there. This case was crazy, though I only know of it through the documentary.

I was in highschoolā€¦My teachers were all white, they even turned on the tv to hear the verdict during classtime. When it got announce all them white people turned super red. Angry & them white women were crying.

All I remember about the OJ Trial is that it fucked up afternoon programming for over a year.

I got mad as fuck that bullshit ruined entire my afternoon cartoons and hogged up the TV all day into the evening, where the news would rundown all the bullshit we just spent all day watching.

Worst TV show everā€¦ Fuck Court TV.

Letā€™s not forget about one of the officers took home the evidence with him lmao.

But naw we all know Rob Kardashin is the REAL MVP lol

I still question the timeline of events. O.J. managed to kill two people, only get a tiny bit of blood on himself, dispose of all evidence, and still catch his flight.

Iā€™ve seen those crime scene photos, and blood was all over the place.

If you look at his last adventure to ā€œstealā€ his property, itā€™s so hard to believe heā€™s such a ā€œproā€.

No. We not doing this. OJ killed those people. The only reasons he ainā€™t waiting to get a needle is because Johnnie Cochran was goddamned wizard, and the LAPD is more incompetent than Capcpom at doing anything that doesnā€™t involve beating minorities.
