That’s how MY EYES felt after looking at it for the first time yesterday!
It burns, it burns! :crybaby: :crybaby:
This is truly the ugliest accessory/controller I’ve seen in a very long time…!

The namco Noir layout is the same both ways, at least I’m pretty sure.
Also, I think this thing is a joke. The location of the turbo buttons, the location of the macro buttons, the terrible layout, and the fact that it’s just ugly as fuck.
its not the right side slants down more on the Noir I think it looks cool for a mini/compact stick just not for that price way over price but their charging for the marco’s which most people have no use for
Oh, alright. Still, something like a symmetrical Noir-style layout would have been much better.
If it’s supposed to be for lefties or righties, a non-symmetrical layout wouldn’t work at all guys…
Something like this would suck to play left-handed for example:
I think this layout looks pretty bad in the first place but yeah, layouts like this are designed with the right hand in mind. You can’t call a stick ambidextrous and give it a layout where one hand is going to suffer.
I tried it out at E3 for about 2mins. my friend and i only played 1 set of SFxT on the sticks, each round was about 30secs or so.
Anyways. the 4 white buttons are regular round top buttons, i forget the technical term its 1am. the 4 black buttons are concave, old school american happ type, and feel kind of odd pressing both sets of buttons in a match but its not bothersom.
The joystick is really really super light. it feels kinda flimsy and the joystick doesnt feel sturdy at all, it really didnt feel much like a sanwa stick. theres a toggle switch right above the stick that looks and feels so out of place. i only hit it once during play with my pinky trying to do a 360 PD with Gief. overall its not something i am overly excited about. oh yea and theres no room for your wrists at all, they felt exposed. thats all i can remember right now.
It also looked like something from the 90’s
Whut? Convex OBSC-30s?
You sure about that?
If so then what you used might just have been a prototype with random parts. Unless Sanwa have some secret concave buttons in the works…
im sure about it. they were not rounded out like the regular set. they felt really really odd as soon as i placed my fingers down. you can kind of see it in the picture but its not so obvious. who knows if maybe they have those as a test with random parts or if sanwa is building some but i have no reason to lie. i didnt really get as much time with the stick as i wanted since they only had one available and they were rushing people pretty fast.
IMO this stick should now receive legendary status right next to the Hoon stick.
The amount of randomness coupled with the price tag… I am amazed.
Yet it still begs the question - what the Hell are those 4 black buttons?? The rims look Sanwa, but no idea about the plungers.
Well, unless they make it bigger or add some form of wrist rest, then the only ambidextrous joystick worth getting is the Q2-Pro.

It’s sad that you have to sacrifice an ergo layout for ambidexterity. If I were more skilled with such things, I would design a modular button panel that you could change out on the fly.
Something like this:
I feel like we’re reaching the sixth extra blade and added aloe vera shaving strip for arcade sticks now.
Concave Sanwa’s now I see why their charging $180 those concave buttons must be worth $20 a piece
Well that’s fucking dumb then.
Fixed:
The concept is cool, the execution is horrible. Get rid of the macros and the crap that goes with it. I’m sure that would cut the price back at least $40. A detachable “base” plate for lap comfort, giving it a more “portable” nature? Scrap that and just make the wrist space 20% bigger. One less part to lug around and worry about, one less thing to manufacture. There, saved you another $40. What do we have after all that? Something nearly the same size as a SE (probably a little smaller still), full Sanwa, turbo features, and now you have a lefty-capable stick for $120.
It’s “cute” looking, don’t get me wrong. But unless it’s got Hello Kitty on it, I’m not dropping $180 on “cute”.
As a lefty, I don’t get it. I’ve never had the urge to use my right hand for the joystick.
Having the dominant hand on the buttons is better for combos.
