HDR is lame as shit. Therefore, any tournament with HDR is lame as shit. Snake Eyez winning was lackluster because it was an ass game. I’m biased on the side of ST>HDR. That’s why I think HDR is ass, ST is a better game in my opinion hands down.

If someone were to beat ass in a Tekken 4 tournament nowadays I wouldn’t give a damn because that game is obsolete with any other Tekken but for this case I’ll use Tekken 6. FYI, Tekken 4 was a horrible game (is the WORST) compared to any other Tekken, even Tekken 3 is better than Tekken 4!
I know T6 came out way after T4 but if you wanted a more plausible example then use TTT, that game is better than T4 and it was made years before T4 was around.
So, yes, Snake Eyez is probably a very good HRD player, but him winning an HDR tournament is still LAME AS SHIT!!
I wish EVO had ST still on its roster, watching people play that game will never grow old to me, period.

Well I thought that we might get into a rational discussion about HDR / ST / Gief, etc. But then you just kept repeating ‘lame as shit’, which made me think you were 16.
We havent totally set it up yet but its gonna be Thursday Night - Monday Morning so 4 nights 5 days and its 1600ish total so its like 400 a person but me and kkf were talking about selling some floor space for cheap to save everyone some money like 2 spots or something.

I wonder if you guys are even remotely serious. That game has a LOT of players. Probably at least as many as HDR, if not more. SRK is a really bad indicator of non-capcom fighter interests.
Edit: Also, I’m going to get flak for this, buuuttt… BB is a lot more fun to watch than HDR. That game looks tight at high levels, no lie. Even more colorful than MVC2!

But really, if everyone is salty about Joey Cuellar and the Cannons dropping SSF2HDR from the roster, then fight to get it back! If you’re personally motivated enough and want to see it back next year, I’m sure people can make it happen. Better believe Tekken didn’t make it back into the roster because they thought it would get even comparable numbers to SS(uck)FIV. Be persistent and make big things happen. NWM 1&2 didn’t happen just because everyone agreed it should happen. People (Brent et al) put in work to make it happen.
Speaking of which, NWM3 August 20th and 21st.
I haven’t created the thread yet because I would actually like to have some information to accompany the announcement, or some tasks available to work on for people who would like to take charge of a job or section of the tournament. I was at least hoping to have a venue that would work for a tournament and art show by this time, but still looking. That can definitely be one of the tasks. Many hands and all that.
I’ll put together a skeleton for the tournament, post it up, and we can start fleshing it out.
