Thanks, the reason I didn’t bust out mag storm a 2nd match was because I play Crizzle alot when he comes down, and I think he has the better MSP even though MSP is sort of a coin flip. I thought my megaman would be a better choice. Also, I didn’t want to play flashy in top 8 at Evo and was REALLY REALLY nervous so I probably would of messed up my combos or froze up.

Listen Mandel said this, and I will say it because no matter how much I hate people, or I’m an asshole to set individuals, when it comes to the community I got your back. And what needs to happen is this, your guys’s soul still needs to still be burning (sorry too much SC4). Sure you took a blow and got stomped out at EVO, but guess what? Now you know what you need to be to compete at a national/world level. It’s obviously a bit different than a Zach’s or Julian’s gathering. The best advice I could give all of you is this. You have to get more exposure outside of Seattle if you want to step it up into the big leauges. Look at Ro. There were many times where he and Rat and co. took trips down to cali to play against other people. Same with Jmar when he got into it, of course they were good from the get go, but once they got that exposure they got soooo much better it was crazy. And of course that greatness has rubbed off on a lot of the newer faces in the scene (Dann comes to mind). That’s about all the advice i can give on this topic.
Next year, I am taking Dan. He has no say in the matter. I am not the best Marvelz player out there, but I have been playing this game long enough to know good play from the excellent, and Dan is some serious next level type shit. I won’t drop any names but I saw some gross ass sloppy play during the entire tournament and yes even in the semi’s and finals. Dan would have shat all over my pool until Chunk, and even then Dan would still be buff as hell. Regardless, we need more Seattle Marvel because on the realz, Cali and the EC have no clue just hardbody Seattle Marvel can be. Reality check time to the maximum.
I haven’t had any comp in over a year, so I wasn’t expecting much of anything…

I would like to know what happened to SamB. I would like to see Sam and Dann play first to 1000 for $20 so that Sam can work out his kinks and be the beast he could be.

Sam won his first four matches then got sent to losers by smooth viper 2-1! ! ! which is pretty sick cause smooth is really good. Then he went to losers and lost to ytwojay 1 match before the top 16. Sam says ytwojay is good and I’ll believe him.
I know he played a good deal of money matches but forgot the details of that. Last I heard he beat buckethead. Lost to J360 and smoothviper with a run back with J360 and beat him. He was supposed ti play Toan also. . .which probably means Sam beat him also because Toan lost EVERY money match he played when I talk to Sam Sunday afternoon. Like lots of money matches and lots of money. Toan lost to mike ross, Soo, and Potter with $750 just on Potter!:sad: Anyways I’m sure Sam has more details and I hope he posts them. It sounded like he was having alot of fun when I talked to him.

Paul was there. I was not willing to fork over that much cash for airline+hotel for Evo this year, though. I might head out to Season’s Beatings, though. Much more worth it IMO. Especially if you’re into Marvel.

Hello everyone. Evo this year as an event was kinda trash but outside of the event hall it was poppin’. Freakin fun all day everyday.
But yea our pool had like 23ish and I won 4 and lost then won 3 and lost so I got 4th in our pool which sucks. I hate cali msp and I hellaa fucked up because I was gonna kill psy and magnus with unblockables but I can’t hit em when I can hit storm with it is bullshit. O well its marvel. I don’t play solid which is my issue and I learned alot about my marvel play when I played against Erik and Toan.
MM wise it wasn’t looking all to great but I was playin kinda crappy
-Toan vs. me 4-2 me then 4-3 on the 2nd set
-me vs. potter didn’t happen because he didn’t wanna play after SOOOOO fuckinng MIGHTy fucked up ruin/smoothviper/potter in this little 3 on 3 thing. He went 6-0 to win 2 sets on his own. This was the best MM at evo IMO cuz it was straight up hype. After erik lost merdoc (from NYC’s) price is right fail song came up. Shit had me ROLF.
-Fanatic vs. me. 4-2 fanatic but I was using mss like an idiot
-Ruin on sat. That is all. I beat him 2 MM sets then dude came out with a fury the next day
-Jal vs. me. 3-1 me
- me vs. some canadian guy. 3-0 me
-me vs. patrick aka vegita-X. numerous sets going back and forth but he came up $10
-Me drunk vs. crizzle. 4-1 crizzle
-Me vs. IFCCrizzle. 4-2 I got raped and I need to play a better team
-Me vs. SeeeJay. 3-1 me and I should’ve gotten a perfect one game.
-Me vs. Tihn went 2-0 and 2-1 me.
During marvel finals I was side betting with people and came up like $70. Skisonic even did 3-1 odds between chunk and wong in WF.
Yea people this year were cheap with MM’s which made me a sad panda but o well. Whose going to SB3???
