This thread went south real quick. Just wanted to mention again that if anyone has suggestions on how to improve these tournaments (outside of adding games), please do offer them here. We’ve only had 2 tournaments so far. Since the inception, we’ve pledged to adopt quite a few amendments in the interest to improving the experience for players (ranked seeding, character choice in ST, late entries, etc.). If you have thoughts, share them.

I have the last year’s SBO KoFXI DVD (aaaand a multiregion DVD player FTW). You’ll see Kula, Oswald, a little Duck, and … that’s about it. Samurai Shodown was actually probably more fun to watch there.
We should probably have a SBO DVD watching party. =\ Those guys were cool. I highly recommend going some time if you can afford it. (Plane ticket was about $900, we (ten of us?) shared a tiny tiny room for $20 per person, and we probably spent about $1000 minimum over the week, but I could have easily spent a gazillion dollars.)

8 - add Gato to that, but honestly the game is good even with the top tiers, its matured a bit and thats the reason im even sniffing the game again. i was going to suggest SamSHoTenka but since its a vastly slower paced but great game in my eyes and that game has matured a bit since SBO certainly…as ive watched just a few new vids but there are a plenty to catch up on.
I played marvel Sunday for the first time since the night Chunksta arrived in town. I’m so rusty it’s not even funny. I only linked 2x lighting attack into lighting storm on 3 occasions. This does not bode well for me. I might as well have played Roll with Kobun and Dan. Mandel, on the other hand, was beating us like a white man does to his step kids.
So, who plans on showing up this Friday for the tournament?
Zach, have you put in the new actuators on the cabs yet? If not, I could show up an hour or so early and put them in. If you’ve misplaced them, I have more.
