I’m just trying to give you yet another reason to show up for the Marvel tournament. You like Marvel, you live in the NW, you need to be playing in these tournaments. A couple of solid outings at Zach’s and you’d be able to crush anyone between Everett and the US/Canadian boarder.
Parents be damned. They already gave you life. What are they going to do, take it back? Show up.

I can already beat most of the people between everett and the canadian border (on MY stick, not the stiff-as-fuck P360s). After I get warmed up, the guys in Bellingham hardly even touch my cable. It’s just that once I go to Zach’s that doesn’t mean SHIT. The difference between skill levels in my town and Seattle are so drastic, it’s overwhelming when I go.

Yes, the 7th is a Saturday. Zach’s next gaming night falls on the 6th, a Friday night. We’ve been trying to tell you that the 6th is a Friday. A screenshot showing a Saturday marked with 7/7 doesn’t do much for the Julian vs. civilized world argument.
Also, 7/6 might or might not be the final tournament of the season. Zach said that he’s not sure if there will be another gaming night prior to Evo West (that which we were supposed to be training for). If this is the final tournament of the season, will more people show up? If so, hype it as the last one.
If I say that Marvel starts at 8PM, will people show up by 9PM? I’m willing to gamble on this one. Everyone, Marvel at 8PM on 7/6. Tell all fighting game players that you know. Out of towners, start saving up for gas money.
Reminds me of Texas, where I’d tell people to show up 2 hours early, then show up on time and still have to wait 20 min for stragglers. Perhaps this is merely symptomatic of gamers.
In my tradition of asking everyone not Nate or also named Julian money matches after beating me, I’ll play against Sam Y for money in ST if he can make it up to Zachs.

Just about every Portland 3s and ST player that came up on 3/16 and 6/15 entered Marvel. I applaud them for doing so. Are the local ST/3s players less less inclined to take advantage of the opportunity and test themselves against high level comp?

Did you even see my match against samY? I won the first set and that last one was fucking close but I choked and random supered for the lose, I defeated myself on the last one. I didn’t hardly get crushed.

Oh, I remember now. A couple of your losses in that tournament were due to pointless full screen supers with boxer. Stop doing that shit. At the very least, charge punch cancel into the super so that you’re invincible while closer to the action.

It’s too damned hard for me to play too, but I play it none the less. Have you ever been peaced out by Geif in a MvC2 tournament? It’s fucking depressing. But it would be a shame not to take advantage of being in such a competitive Marvel scene by simply watching the games. People who do that should have their eyelids surgically removed, and be forced to watch Jim Varney films.

I used to call it “Texas Time”. Just tell people to show up at 8PM on the 6th of July and they might, MIGHT get there before 9PM. Someone tell Ratt and all the other people who don’t check SRK the ‘new’ start time.
im sure you’re serious about the surgery, but on the real, the game is simply not for me once 2003 Marvel happened…and no, i dont get peaced out by Gief in MvC2 tournaments because i generally dont join MvC2 tournaments.

Also, I now have my new stick which is utter sickness. Balrog’s sick bread and butter combo is low forward, low strong, low jab rush.
I could NEVER do that even though I knew how, because my old stick was a shitty stock SFAC. Now on my new stick I can do Rog B&B like 90% of the time. So I’ll get a lot more damage/dizzies hopefully and win more often if I can resist the urge to fullscreen super.
