I think you’ve been doing a good job man. Thanks a lot for running these seriously.
Deezo, are you still going to complain about bad match-ups? You know everyone at these tournament. Of course you’re going to play someone you know/hate. I bring it up because I was just going over the paperwork and inputting the match-up/results for the pr0g that determines the worst player in the NW. I just realized that out of the 5 tournaments held thus far, I’ve played Cody in 4 of them. What’s worse, I have won the first game EVERY SINGLE TIME we’ve played. It’s like he’s toying with my sorry ass before the penetration.
I wish I had been able to go out there, but as it turns out, it was my grandfather’s b-day today, so I had to be up early to prepare for that. Family (at least the ones I give a shit about) comes first. My CSS is actually getting pretty good.
Don’t you mean punishment?
Nah… you’re doing a good job at running the league seriously. I look forward to seeing JMar, Row, and Kuan coming out on bottom in the leagues this year. Then watch them rape at Evo
how do you figure?
There was some debate amongst players at the last tournament. I wanted to make clear that I was not favoring anyone with the ruling about how winners in MvC2 were required to keep the same characters, assists, and order in the following match of a set. If you were to follow the link below, go to “Match Play”, and the 5th bullet under “Playing the Match”, you’ll see that EVO requires this of participants. As we’re supposed to be prepping for EVO, our tournament formats will adhere to their standards. The rule has also long been in the first post in this thread. Still, feel free to question my methods openly as I am new to all of this. It’s a learning process.

It’s mother’s day. If you haven’t made your mother breakfast, bought her a car, or brought flowers to her grave yet, you should be ashame of yourself as a human being.
Because I’m learning to adapt to my opponents pretty well. After playing for a while in Bellingham, I was shutting down the best there with ease. Except Murakumo and Brandon, I suppose (Murakumo wasn’t there and Brandon left just after we got there). It’s just the team I’m improving fastest with. Once I improve my sent more, I should do a helluva lot better. He’s my weakest point so far.
i’ll be the bad guy on this.
damn…
im there with ya…
except that im very much happy with this.
Edmonton tournament

To any one intrested. Van Sask Calgary are commign out to it. Would be nice to see some others.
How far is edmonton from Seattle?
really far
~14 hour drive
We have been getting people from eastern WA and a couple of Oregonians attending the tournaments in recent months. I had changed the thread’s title from “Seattle” to “NW” so as not to alienate the spirit of players venturing from outside of King County. Perhaps I invited this spam in a way.
But, dude, this tournament is in Alberta. You have to go through at least 1 other state/province after leaving Washington just to get to Alberta. I’ve done that drive–to visit a friend and catch an Oilers game. It’s a good 12+ hours at least. This guy has already announced his tournament in the Edmonton thread, a dedicated tournament thread (both in the world matchmaking sections), as well as the tournament announcements section. Here, he’s just kinda spamming.
Well, it’s fine with me. He’s inviting NW players for a reason- the NW players are pretty dedicated, and the most likely americans to show. You gotta give props to JJ for his beastly Marvel game, anyways :lovin: Now just to convince Tao to get back in the game…
Ah, I see. Well, if I had a ton of extra money for gas and stuff and also a car newer than 1993 I’d probably try to go, but it’s definitely out of the question for me. I’d got just for ST and SFA3…
id let you drive my car if i had my passport…
hey guys who play in north seattle, around the northgate area, and where do you guys meet?
The next poker night has been announced. 6/1, be there or be casual players. First post has been amended. Please note that we plan on getting ST underway by 11PM this time, while Marvel will still start at 9PM. Be there on time and have the correct entry fees, please.
XTG, what might keep you from attending? If Nate can’t make it, does anyone else have a copy of Capcom Classics Collection 2 that they could bring? Also, bring sticks people.
I haven’t been playing much in recent weeks. I didn’t even get to play much last poker night due to running tournaments and most people bailing out early. Anyone wanna show up a little bit (just an hour or so) early for warm-ups?
If you play ST but don’t play Marvel, shame on you. Marvel players throw down on ST out of courtesy, help keep the scene alive.
If Nate can’t come then possibly I could pick up his copy of it just to bring for the tourney.
That would work. If that’s what’s gonna happen, could you bring a PS2? Otherwise, I could bring my PS2 and you could steal Nate’s CCC2. Whatever the case, I’d like to coordinate and know what to do ahead of time.
