people are still challenging me? im sorry i’ve been playing WoW. super gross but i like it. gmon if you want to challenge me im going to gc on the 29th
Elias more like controled anger. Focus it on your opponent. Have it to where you just want to shut everything they do down and hit the buttons with conviction. That kinda mad. Not get unfocused mad.
RED ZONE BISoN?!?!?!
Kuenai(Balrog, Zangeif, Honda) challenged bitq(Cammy)
bitq won 5-4
so much counterpicking lol. gg!
Yeah, next time I’ll just play honda from start to finish. Tense matches, and you gambling like NONE OTHER. If I wanted to straight counterpick from the beginning, I’d have used guile
Also, sorry for being so irritated during the match. You’re a good guy, and didn’t need any of that. Next time I’m definitely playing on my own equipment >_<
Guile is NOT a counterpick for cammy. maybe more of a counterpick than gief though haha. idk maybe it’s because I have plenty of experience playing Greg’s guile. Don’t worry about getting angry during the match. I might have a problem if you were directly insulting me, but you were more just mad at the game and stick. We all do that. YOu should hear me when I play halo hahaha. GGs see you next time.
LOL Guile is cammy’s top 3 worst matchs. Rog/Honda/Guile
“It’s the player not the character”. -Bokkin schooling me a long time ago
Guile at Kuenai’s level is not a counter pick for BitQ’s Cammy.
Lol Jamie.
Note to self: Counter BitQ with Guile next time we meet in bracket.
People should challenge me or I should switch places with people and start challenging more. I’ve been liking Cody alot lately. Funny how people complain about his walk speed but it’s not too bad. His walk forward speed is decent and his walk back speed is slow which is good because you wont walk yourself into a corner quickly. Plus his forward jump is far and so is his forward dash mixed with his forward moving normals. Man Cody is so dope with his flashy combos too.
I henceforth throw down my gauntlet to E-man should we both be in the same field of honor in the near future.
I demand satisfaction sir!
:wgrin:
You are all MAD! MAD I SAY! There is no counterpick for Cammy!
Bokkin forgot to mention Cammys only 2-8 matchup = DeeJay =D lol
Dirteh
^what happened the last time you played that horrible chracter against me…rog is you only answer.
Shred. Counter picking is there for closely skilled players but 8 or 9 times out of 10 the better player will win regardless of char.
ya i know. Pulsed knocked me out of the last Slugfest with a smart counterpick after I bodied his main. I believe in counterpicking but like you said, 9 times out of 10 it won’t make a difference.
Isn’t Zangief also considered a counterpick against Cammy?
If you know the matchup well and zangief is one of your mains, then yeah its a sort of counterpick, but it is 6-4 at most. I don’t really think you should worry about counterpicking unless you’re god tier at sf4. There are only about 5 seattle players who are good enough to benefit from counterpicking, imho. And I’m not one of em!
It’s not really about how good you are at the game, just how good you are compared to your opponent. Like Bokkin said, it can benefit people with similar skill levels.
Pulsed and I are about the same skill level. When we played at Slugfest, I took out his Seth (his main) with my Abel. It wasn’t particularly close. But he was able to see my skill level compared to his and he could see how familiar I was with the match up. He made a smart choice and counterpicked with Balrog who typically gives Abel trouble. He clutched out a win because of this.
Just depends on the situation.
When was the last time you ever played me, sir? Oh, that’s right- You have not. You shouldn’t make comments like that when you don’t know what you’re talking about. Nothing personal, as I don’t know you. But really, that was straight out of left field.
Unlike the other matches, Guile/Cammy is one I’ve actually played quite a bit of. Carlos and I played the shit out of that one a while back, as well as the ibuki/cammy match.
On another note though, these ladder matches are more for lots of practice against specific characters/play styles for me than anything. Guarantees you a TV and the same opponent for a while and lets you sit down and get analytical rather than having to win/lose to a gimmick or two in a 2/3 and not face the same guy for the next 30 mins.
I don’t get to play much where I’m at (who the hell plays in skagit valley?), so the toe-fu events and other semi-casual gatherings are a blessing. Thanks again to the people who host and sit down for longer matches every now and then! It’s a huge help
^to be fair Kuenai doesn’t really have a main. So it’s not really counterpicking but more like the char he is most confortable at playing against that char.
I only reall have one counterpick and that is so I don’t have to play the mirror match (or to style on people). WAAAATAAA
