Ty, =P
GGs to BitQ the other night. Another close one.
Sorry about the lag again. My gf was on my laptop this time so some rounds were really shitty on my end. I assume you experienced similar problems. I was yelling at my tv quite a bit. lol
If I may, careful with the mashing DP during my block strings. A lot of my damage came from big punishes for your whiffed uppercuts. You make a lot of good decisions in matches but the damage you gain from them is balanced by the damage you surrender by mashing too much. Mix it up a little.
We’ll play again soon.
GGs thanks for the advice!
Cole…its good you want to be early…but did you forget about the 3 days in seattle BEFORE portland?
I know I’m new to this, but I want in. The only places I’ve been to is Toe-Fu Dojo (sorry if I mess it up Greg, I’m kinda buzzin here) and B0kkin’s place. I wanna try out for this, I’m not sure about my brother, even though both of them have met, I actually wanna know where I stand out with my one and only Makoto, even though I use more than 1 character. I will use Makoto exclusively for this. I hope I meet you guys so I can test out my skill in WA state, but I might be going to Air Force so I wanna know before I go, if I go. I dunno if I can but I wanna try as much as I can before I can make a career off of myself unless I go to a cc instead of any military branches.
If anything I will use maybe one or two characters. In all and all I want to at least test out my skill before I head back to school, although I may be facing other people, while i have school for one more semester.

Spacing
A solid ground game, Anti airs, and adaptability. The last one is the most important. You always have a solid gameplan but once they figure it out you never have a plan B or C.
this.
Be brutally honest with yourself about your game; figure out why you’re losing and fix it. Rinse and repeat. From there, play to win the game.
Pick a top tier character. For real. That is just step one. The difference between tiers is not that big in this game, but the difference between how hard you have to work with different characters is.
I know that sounds contradictory since how hard a character has to work is a part of tier standings, but I stand by my statement. Most every character has an equal chance to win in this game, but the difficulty of putting yourself at an advantage and capitalizing on it is the real decider.
Watch your gameplay, see what you do thats repetitive, figure out options.
learn to punish & learn to escape.
punishing when you see an opponent’s opening from either their mistake, which you can bait, or a pattern that you see them doing (e.g. on wake up, they like to backdash).
escape when you find yourself in an unfavorable position (e.g. in a corner or what have you), know what options are available for them to stop your escape and bait a mistake/whiff or take the lesser of two evils (whichever does less damage) and try to create breathing room and recalculate.
