@AdmiralParmesean So I saw what you said about me and my choice to player Jill with a strong shell and that was my main idea when I first picked her up. I wanted a team that would allow me to play jill at really high potential while still having a good team if she dies.I have to say this there isn’t really a reason to have us put all stock into her because she has seriously low health and she doesn’t have anything to amazing outside of her resets. Resets in itself in a game like this is already a problem so i tried to make one of her strongest assest and put alot of work.Her strongest assets are her ground game and mix-ups soo i figured that doom beam and drones give both of thoses.

On the whole Doom vs IronMan on that team there are a couple of reasons why I put Doom on that team compared to IronMan.

  1. Even though unibeam is easy to confirm and you can get 1 rep of jump loops off a ground confirm it doesn’t matter due to how hard unibeam scales. After Unibeam jill gets about 210k from the jump loop before she can reset.Plasma beam gives me 310k off any confirm into either jump loop or flip kick loop

  2. Plasma Beam comes out further behind Jill. Although this seems to be a minor thing with a character like Jill who doesn’t really have a full screen teleport having a beam assist that comes out right next to her give the enemy alot of happy b-days and not to mention that the start-up on unibeam is slower.The distance thing also plays a factor when going for certain resets due to the fact that ironman comes out next to you most people can tech roll forward and get out the entire beam reset really.

3)The Infinite Doom does has more variation and open endings to it then ironman soo that gives me more creativity for fun infinites factor.Also doom infinite does alot more damage soo i get more meter build while the enemy gains less.

4)Safe DHC’s. Always a factor when trying to save jill.

5)Extensions off such things like raw tag combos and stuff that only doom can offer

6)better mix-ups and incoming then ironman

7)More fun to play with combos

Absurdly high with the Jill/Hsien-Ko team. The salt was 2 real.

Problem was I got by solely on Jill, I didn’t have to play Hsien-Ko often and when I did, I was doing fraud ass shit. Her plink dash is pretty dope though.

The GREATEST thing about it is that Rimoukon Hsien-Ko BLOWS up Vergils, Striders, and the like. It truly makes worrying about the main dark anchors a non-issue.

I always knew Rimoukon’d Senpu Bu was a godly assist that works well with basically every character in the game, but it is attach to one of the worst characters in the game…

I’ve tried Jill / Ironfist before just messing around. Dragon Touch on a backroll while resetting them is the funniest thing I’ve ever seen in my life. You can get some pretty sick unblockables on reset with Jill / PW Get em Missile! assist too.

Pretty much bad, haven’t gotten much real offline sets but did today vs some zero players. To be fair I wouldn’t normally use Jill vs Zero but I really wanted to try it out. Unfortunately I was not really warmed up strategy wise and my Jill was ass–dante and doom did all the work when I won and I didn’t get to do much of the stuff I’ve been thinking about with jill. matchup was not really good for me and I couldn’t get going.

Then after some other games with d/d mag and d/d strider I went back to my old d/d/Jill team and did quite well with the threat of THC and anchor mad beast. I was able to record almost everything so hopefully I will upload it soon, tho some of my mistakes are pretty embarrassing lol.

I’m looking into new Jill team ideas again. One match-up I find annoying is Nova if I give him a chance to set up a keep away game because of the shield.

The most practical assists I was thinking about for removing projectiles on the screen would be Akuma tatsu and Frank shopping cart. Sadly I don’t want to play frank.

I believe Lamu was looking into akuma tatsu at one point. my only concern would be converting off of tatsu and of course what team to use.

One option I was considering was Jill/Sent/Akuma since sent benefits from a get off me type assist. However I would hate to not have a full screen projectile and I really like drones for resetting purposes.

I could also try teams like Jill/akuma/hawkeye (either order) etc.

Any ideas?

You can try a team that i thought could actually give Jill the ability to have tatsu while still having a good projectile assist. Try Jill Dante Akuma. You get a good THC,safe dhc,TAC infinte,Good reliable DHC,the reset that happens with sentinel might work well with weasle shot too.

You may want to look into some sort of hard tag into Akuma combo. Because off of tatsu is really hard to confirm, plus your damage is pretty scaled since your combo has to be cut off short.

Yeah about the most I could get was 3 flip kicks into a round house. Not exactly that great and it’s really hard to catch off of reaction when in a game.

I started playing Jill DoomRox Strider and it’s working very good. I have never really used Jill with an anti air assist and I feel like it’s giving me more mixups.

I’m looking for Jill(arrow or Somersault)/Strange (Eye) /xxxx or maybe strange in Anchor with Eye .

Someone who can give me some tips or advices? :o

I have some interest in RR or Dante in the middle, mostly Raccoon but i would want to heard some advices of you guys, thanks! :slight_smile:

I will have to try Jill / Strange / RR at some point. I’ll let you know if I find anything.

Has anyone tried Jill and Frank? I’m wondering if its possible to get to a level 4 Frank with Jill.

(Cough) If you read any of the previous pages you would see that Jill /frank is a solid team(cough)

I know for a fact Jill can get frank to level 3 no problem, but I dunno about lvl 4. You’ll have to ask NSR about that. I don’t think she can though without a TAC.

It is, look through the various NSR videos. Due to the wonky mechanics of MGS you can DHC from Jill to the blue light special and get a picture in certain scenarios. There is a post where NSR mentions this specifically but I don’t know where the post is.

There is always the Raven spike dhc into survival techniques. Depending on your assists you can get two pictures using this.

Sorry everyone, I let you down. I got 2 byes in my pool and I went into semi finals COLD. I hit none of my somersaults and even formation Bs were messed up. Ugh.

Friends are forcing me to drop Jill and pick a top tier :. I need to rethink my team comp and strategy first, then I will decide whether or not to put her as my 2nd team.

@lamuness We forgive you I mean I recently went through a huge awakening and decided to finally drop doom for IronMan for a few reasons. I am more comfortable with IronMan overall. I can play his Neutral better (Not to mention that IronMan Drones neutral seems more clean then Doom Drones neutral).I couldn’t do my fun stylish tac infinite starters and variations consistently unlike how i did with ironman.I found a way to convert all my Raw Tag combos and Set-ups so i didn’t really lose much there.I found a way to use Beam in resets that will always guarantee a mix-up and covers all tech rolls.Better THC and Easy infinites all around.

You picked a worse tier lol. Doom > Ironman in the tier list, not to mention that you don’t get raw tag -> footfoot. I don’t want to drop Jill because I’ve put so much work and thought into it, but I don’t know if she has a chance to compete if I don’t find something completely broken. Having to have RR in my team greatly hinders me because I love the rodent, and I’d probably run j/sent/im if RR wasn’t a personal requirement.

why dont you try jill, viewtiful joe, rr ? Jill teleport with log trap is pretty good, gives you an anti-air assist to help against air dashers, bomb assist to maximize jill damage and convert off of throws. plus when she goes down you got the kusoru shell
