I was wondering, would Jill/Skrull/Doom would work? Also, would stone smite assist be slow enough to otg after fallen prey?
Just use Hidden Missiles to OTG. Don’e worry too much about doing it after fallen prey, that’s only a tiny bit of extra damage, and you need to gimp your assists pretty bad to accommodate it.

I’m just gonna throw out what I think are the two best Jill teams:
Jill(arrow/flash kick)/Doom(Rocks)/Wesker(Gun)
Jill(arrow/flash kick)/Viper(Seismo)/Ammy(Cold Star)
I think Jill(arrow kick)/Viper(Seismo)/Dr. Doom(Rocks) is better than the Jill/Viper/Ammy.
That’s certainly good, but in my opinion it breaks down like this. It’s better for Jill your way, where-as Jill/Viper/Dante maximizes Viper. Ammy is kind of a happy middle ground.
I can see that. I figured as much when you were talking about the teams. But I think molecular shield is also really good for Viper. You can still do the seismo, tk bk then another bk and combo afterwards. Also I use Amaterasu and there is no question that she is very good for viper and I can see that she is pretty good for Jill but the problem is that it is hard to advance behind that assist even for Viper. Ammy is also pretty safe but I feel it has a pretty long startup.
Also it could be that the person I mainly play uses Wesker/Magneto/Chun-li and the disruptor assist makes it really hard for me to call ammy. Especially with Wesker.
I feel safer with molecular shield as it kind of protects doom from that stupid disruptor. sry for getting salty about that assist.
I was playing with Jill (Arrow Kick) Taskmaster and Shuma Gorath (mystic ray), but is not jill taskmaster in good synergy, I put wesker in place of the taskmaster and improved 100%!

Hey guys. Just got Jill last week and I’ve basically been practicing with her non-stop. xD
I know I want to use her on the same team was Wesker(synergy is so good), but I’m having a hard time deciding what to use as the third character. I currently use Wesker/ Akuma/ Phoenix(don’t hurt me), so I’m well versed with how to use Akuma’s assist as well as actually using Akuma. I do have an OK Doom behind me and I’ve been working on getting him up to playable status… but I hate Doom without a decent assist.
Basically I’m using Jill(Somersault Kick) and Wesker(Gun herp derp) together in whatever order- I really like Wesker on point because I feel he’s weak when he’s put into a defensive position, and alpha counter with Jill is rewarding. Jill does start the DHC glitch and benefits from the Wesker gun for comboing and occasional unblockables, but considering how I’ll be using them I shouldn’t have an issue with using meter back and forth.
Finally when one of them dies, the idea is to use the remaining character as a battery for the final one. So I need a decent character that does pretty well with a lot of meter behind him/ her. Akuma does pretty decently, and I’ve been considering Taskmaster, Ammy(rather not), Doom, Magneto, Sentinel(rather not), and pretty much anyone else. At the moment I’ll be using Akuma/ Doom because I need to concentrate on learning Jill before I go about trying to learn the whole cast.
And then for a fun team idea I’m going to play Wolverine(Whatever)/ Wesker(Gun OTG)/ Jill(Bullet Kick thingy). The idea is actually to use Wolverine/ Wesker as x-factor bait and then try and chip them out with lvl 3 x-factor Beast mode. Each character is obviously amazing in their own right, though it is saddening to essentially use the only non-broken Wolverine in the world since I basically have no assist for him…
i really love jill/wesker/iron man… but sumtimes i really can’t stand having wesker and jill both have a really tough time vs trish/maggy or other characters that can move really well in the air … so i’m kinda iffy about some things … it also doesn’t help that the tristate area are mostly tier whores >_> … i’ve won tournies OOS and i barely make top 3 at next level and 8bit.

So I’m starting fresh with Jill, never tried her (never DLC’d her) but I will in UMvC3, partially due to some people suggesting I tried her and some flyingVe around here with certain interesting vids.
I’ll put her on point to start, but before I get started, which of these characters should I AVOID using, due to common knowledge/experience and general consensus from all you Jills thus far.
These are the characters that I’d want to stick with who were under my arsenal before I quit.
I need to know who NOT to team with Jill (and maybe a why). I’ll try taking it from there for a bit.

Edit: Of course this doesn’t include new characters/the changed versions that might mess with my already lost abilities in this game, so if there’s anything new to Umvc3 that fits already, that would be cool too.
Basically just so I don’t start trying to incorporate something that looks fun and inevitably won’t turn out because it’s been done and something in it just doesn’t really help out as much as something else. Collective learning over the last year has surely seen it’s trials and errors.

Hsien Ko(that assist doesn’t help Jill much because she has great reversals of her own)
X-23 (her assist aren’t very good either. If you want an otg assist, other characters have faster ones. The crescent scythe alpha counter would be good but once again Jill reverses well on her own)
There are two types of assist that Jill needs, in my opinion.
The first and most important is an assist to help her get in and for use in mixups. You have alot of options here, some of the most popular choices are Plasma Beam, Unibeam, Molecular Shield, Drones, etc…
The Second, and less important, is an OTG assist, really the only two that work correctly off throws and fully optimized combos are Samurai Edge, and Seismic Hammer. This Assist isn’t as essential, but if you want to boost your damage or use any of the combo’s and setups I showed off in my video, you’ll need one.
I don’t know what new assists will be able to functions for the OTG roll in Ultimate.
My current team for Vanilla (will change in Ultimate), is Jill/Wesker/IronMan.
Joes bomb assist makes for a great otg assist after throws.
This is true, but my problem with the bomb is that I think it lacks overall versatility and Joe is kinda… I dunno really, but he isn’t Wesker.
Does she really need the full screen horizontal assists or is it more just the holding in place? Beams and Mel Shield obviously do both greatly, but I’m under the impression that her ground speed is good enough to close the gap and she just needs someone to hold them there for a second, so Felicia with Buckler would go well with its lasting and Jills instant overheads. Would things like that work for that 1st purpose or does she really need the full screen coverage?
Should be natural to throw any of those characters in there and good to know I’ve got most of the common supports for her, so thanks for the places to start.

I don’t know a whole lot about Shuma or the Mystic ray as a utility assist, but I did alot of research on OTG options when I made my video.
Long story short, the reason I keep saying Wesker and Viper is because their OTG’s are both fast, and do not cause a bounce (sorry deadpool), you can certainly use other assist but then you must shorten your combo so you can space out your post launch BBCS as much as possible which in turn gives you more OTG time. So I would lean against Shuma.
I can’t really talk about to many Ultimate specifics yet as my game hasn’t arrived yet, but Hawkeye seems to have alot of synergy with Jill on the surface, I will explore it more in the coming weeks and probably make vids if I come up with anything cool.
I thought of a combo with Jill and Hawkeye
Jill Bnb raven spike, Dhc with Super Scatter Shot after that you can still use Super Jump thunderbolt arrow and Gold Arrow
