I’d have to agree with Irvin, we need to get together. It’s been ages since we’ve had a really big gathering, what was the last one? Gameware? And I know not all of us were even there to check it out.
Still, Greg wants to go to Stargate for their comp while there’s a #Reload tournament, I can’t see anything wrong with that. There might be a bunch of Guilty Gear players here, but the dedicated player base is a lot more huge in Houston, and he could learn a bunch of stuff he would compared to if he just stayed here.
If he does go, I’d hope he would at least learn from the experience.
Anyway, hope to see everyone at Vs Saturday.

On another note, is this tourney being ran on arcade cabinets or on a Super Nova set up? What other games or cabinets will also be up for the tourney. This doesn’t have anything to do with putting your establishment down or anything pertaining to that. This is a serious question.

Im starting to get tired of seeing all of this Anger talk about one another. Greg saying stuff to Clovis, Clovis getting mad at greg, Greg saying stuff about JD, and Viceversa. Gezz people, Where do you Fockers come from. Im going to hold a session of Anger Management and see what happens “goose fraabaa”. Keep Repeating that and hope that your day will go well… Greg, if you dont want to come to the tourney then dont, But stop saying bad things about VS if you’ve never been there. It would be cool if you came, but if you dont want to then go to Houston and have fun there. Im tired of people getting serious over games when the other person is just trying to have a good laugh and fun times. If you cant take the Fucking heat then dont say Anything and keep it too yourself, Or better yet tell the other person in a non-violent way that you dont feel right with that person talking to you in that manner then thats the end of that!

So true Erv, Dakota, and Chris… The old days owned so hard… you could walk into SP on any given friday or saturday evening and have massive amounts of peeps on the sticks. Some of my most memorable moments were Charles beasting the sticks, after a loss or Keven randomly “throwing you on something” and the random “my boy got that bread though” phrases, and Van with all his ambiguous argruments on life. I still remember the first N.O. tournament I went to at the palace, back when ricky was owning in MvC2 and pat was just getting his tron rougue squad together. Oh and lol even stone was in that tournament playing doom storm and “insert character name here”. Bah were has those days gone… :sad:
Well next months 3s will be on a sunday, with marvel being on a sat. that seems to be better for peep. Also ggxx will prob be sometime next as well. And its the set up, with mvc2 being on cab for now.

I agree with you guys complettly. (Kingofkod, Magneto X, Blade Master)Good gaming, stiff competition, regular hours, and an environment designed to cater to geamers is what Versus is all about. While I don’t bump around the arcades the way I used to, the need for a REAL gaming spot in Louisiana is sorely needed and we are going to give it you.
We aren’t trying to compete with Gameware. Gameware is primarily a retail store. And while we do dabble in retail sales (new and used games) Our primary focus is competition gaming. You will never come to our store and find busted controllers or burned out monitors because playing games is the stores foundation.
Feel free to make suggestions because gamesr are who will make or break our store. PERIOD. We know that and will try everything in our power to have the place tailored made to what the people want.
Comfortable and pletinful seating? Check. Food and drinks? Check. Good business hours to accomodate EVERYBODY? Check. Spacious game playing facilities? Check. Knowledgeable staff who will help you as best they can as well as LISTEN to your suggestions? CHECK.
Lets keep the hate and trash talk directed at what it should be…COMPETITION! You will LOVE Versus. That’s a fact. And we are hoping to see as many of you guys that can make it out here on Saturday. We promise EVERYBODY that comes will not be dissapointed.
