Excuse me for not being 100% accurate, It was not my intention to deceive you or the forum.
If you want to get technical, you are correct they are still selling the 360 in japan.
I got that piece of info wrong since I could only remember the headline I had read a couple of months back when replying to SoVi3t’s question. But, since you decided to call me out on it, I have sources for you to read. Please check them out.
**3. I’m not interested in arguing about specifics with trolls. If you feel like flexing your e-peen do it elsewhere/with someone else. **

[]360 owners will be unable to fight against the PS3 exclusives outside of tournaments. If one of them becomes top tier, tough beans. The matchup data versus him will be horribly limited for 360 owners, leaving them at a disadvantage and discouraging them from competing. While I’d love to see other 360 owners reject this game, you should at least be concerned about that.
[]Buying a console is a ridiculous solution because it’s fucking 200 dollars. No, nobody’s going to buy a console and that console’s version of a shitty game to get practice against the exclusives when they could just as easily get, I don’t know, something worth their money?
[]Do you really want the cats to be legal? They look unbalanced as hell. Their tiny-ass hitboxes will either make them broken or terrible, with very little in-between. Even if they are balanced, who the fuck liked fighting Yoda in Soul Calibur 4 anyway?
[]It’s inconsistent with what we’re doing for other fighters. If Street Fighter x Tekken is PS3 only, then why not Mortal Kombat? Either Street Fighter x Tekken will be a bizarre exception caused by Capcom favoritism, or even more different console versions of games will have to be purchased. And thank God that we don’t have another Soul Calibur 2 situation, because I can only imagine the arguments that would sprout up over that.
[]The characters don’t fit the game. This is just aesthetic, but it’s Street Fighter x Tekken, not Capcom x Namco with a hint of Sony. The cats don’t even fit the mechanics with their tiny hitboxes.
[]GEMS. Seriously, with all the flak Street Fighter x Tekken has received over its gem system, and all the flack it’s going to receive over its long gem setup system, do we really want to add another reason for tournament attendants and organizers to hate this game?

I got lazy and added another.
@Bolded parts of quote:
Why is it so hard for people on the internet to voice their opinions with respect? seriously, there is nothing wrong with saying “I really don’t like this/It seems kind of dumb if you ask me/IMO this doesn’t look good at all” instead of “This is shit/this is the worse thing ever/ this is horrible/what were they thinking?” you don’t have to be a jerk about it. Not many people like to see other bashing things that they like or make, it offends them.
and what in the heck do Gems have to do with this discussion? don’t start nagging about other stuff in a thread about exclusives.
I’m not sure how that’s worse. There’s only two versions here and it’s all or nothing; there’s only exclusives in one of them.
Anyway, I would love to see professional players use the characters but for the sake of balance and keeping the peace, if nothing else, I don’t imagine they’ll be accepted. Chances are, even if they were allowed, they’d still be irrelevant. I don’t imagine Toro and Kuro have great damage input nor health and their tiny hitboxes can only help them so much.
Why don’t we just ban SfxTekken from tournament play altogether. That way you guys can play with every shitty mechanic and stupid character in the game.
The real problem about all of this is that this is the death of Capcoms fighting game department. So long Ono San you have trolled so hard you literally killed Capcom fighting games. This game has become such a joke, forget about uniting Tekken and Street fighter fans. They have literally aliented and seperated xbox360 fans, PS3 Fans, Americans, Japanese, Megaman fans, Tekken Fans, Final Fight fans, and Street Fighter fans. Gem mode, Pandora Mode, Exclusive console characters. Random shitting on mega mans grave, like holy fuck… how much shit do we have to fucking take before its seriously enough!
Just to remind the ignorant fanboys that the “console” itself doesn’t have input lag but the combination of a console + a specific game.
Some games work better on the PS3 than on the 360 and some work the same. Every game is its own case.
When it comes to ban or unban exclusive characters in tournaments, I say unban. Why? Unless said character(s) is broken and dominates the whole cast, they should be used as a viable option to use in the tournament. Just because the exclusives are not in one version (Xbox 360 in this case) should not be an excuse to ban them if PS3 is used.
When you go to a tournament, most likely you will know beforehand which console they are using. In this day and age, you should read up on what 1 version has and what the other doesn’t. So there really is no excuse not to include them.
That’s great, except that exact same logic works for Mortal Kombat 9. You know why they banned Kratos in that game? Matchup experience.
Again, allowing BBAM, Pac-Man, the cats, and Cole makes no sense considering the rules in place for similar situations.
It’s like you guys are okay with banned exclusives as long as it’s a Namco or NRS game, but as soon as it touches Street Fighter, “This is unfair! We want our Megaman!”
