I wasn’t too happy with that either but it has it’s positives, it saves time. The only real problem is if you are doing like a private lobby instead of ranked you SHOULD be able to switch characters after a match w/o going back to main menu. Ranked I understand.
This is not the quality of product you expect of a triple A developer that has had over 2 years to figure shit out. There are indie studios that have released better products in less time without nearly the budget Capcom has had. It is frankly unacceptable. This is not a product that will draw new blood into the scene as no one who is not intimately acquainted with SF would dare buy this game.
Nope. So I tried to play some more. Just tool around in training mode and It kicked me offline. Then after about 5 minutes or so after I picked another character the game just crashed. Again, no error report just shut off. This is weak lol.
Well, I should have known better. I had taken some benadryl and nyquil around 6:30, so I was fighting to stay awake until midnight to at least grab a name. I should have known servers would be down, so ended up going to sleep 12:20 with nothing to show. Woke up at 4am, took a name, went back to sleep.
Then tried for 20 mins to squeeze in a game which consisted of 10007’s and just watching loading circle swirl.
Yeah I’m on Windows 10 and (when it doesn’t d/c) my framerates are all over the place. Mostly if I get into a match the intro animations get choppy until the match actually starts then everything speeds back up. Then the end scene goes back to a crawl. I even lowered the settings which sucks cause I’m rockin’ a GTX 980.
Steam user reviews are ripping it to shreds. It’s like Batman all over again. But in all fairness most of those kids are angry about some shit on a “good” day anyway lol
Now is more stable i think, at least on pc. Day one problems are routine, sadly, but it is no where near MKX pc version release.
For now, is a solid 8,5 for me. Gameplay is fun, content is lacking, but it will come and i was prepared. I know that SFV is a growing project and i am totally fine with this, i don’t blame people who are upset, it’s a 60$ game and is barebone. But, i still don’t think it deserve the same Batman or Mortal Kombat x treatment.
Value is strong in multy, just hang on until march, it’s not so far away. And brand new player will know the mighty alex.
Personally, the dislikes is not as great as I’d thought it would be. If you look at the Steam Negative to Positive Reviews, their is only about 40+ more negative reviews vs the positive statements. So all in all, I don’t think it’s that bad.
Reading some of the reviews, I could tell that many of them were already Anti-Capcom and were ready to pounce as soon as anything Negative could be stated. Others were a bit more objective and with better reasoning.
It’s a fact that Most of them who put up the negative comments never bothered to read the information Capcom was throwing out that this wasn’t a Fully Released game, and the reasons why it was pushed to Feb. instead of the original March date.
If anyone believes that their shouldn’t be any issues with a Day 1 Release, they’d be lying. WoW servers on release date were completely and utterly skewered for days and weeks before it became reasonably stable, and the samething with Diablo 3 when it launched as well. Without question they have a bigger bank account and more man power then Capcom, so if they can flounder how is it not reasonable for Capcom do so.
Heck, outside of the gaming world, Disneyland got their asses handed when on opening day, they ran out of food and rides broke down. So for me, I’m not that surprised, nor am I that naive to believe that anything on launch especially for a video game with online connection is going to go “perfect”.
On another note, Steam has some responsibility on this as well, because they posted Street Fighter V and put up advertisements as though it was a fully Completed Game.
By March, most of these complaints will be over with imo.
