This a very good question I ask myself sometimes I saw jakob002 and neurosis catch some of there opponents with it here and there but me personally if my anti airs whiff due to my incorrect spacing I will do it and very good players never jump wild so you can catch em j strongs to ultra one it pretty much died out when ssf4 came out because other dictators started using ultra 2 tricks for the job but i have to start back using it because its a good tactic for U1 match ups o yeah im also use of doing j strong cr. medium punch to hard punch pc when i have a ultra lol
When you corner people, they have nowhere to go but past you or jump up/jump back.
I’m sure you guys are used to people jumping up and jumping back against you. Those are opportunities as well since people don’t want to get chipped and they want to interrupt your flow. But majority of the time they space it enough to land on you to avoid hits or trade. That’s why cornering people is better to adjust that spacing to Hell Attack.
That and faking a focus to get them to jump into Hell Attack is good too.
Yeah I learnt it the hard way. That’s what I found after I played many matches by just constantly jumping with Hell Attack. At least now I know from experience.
Thanks alot bro I was told i have a real solid corner game and this info should make it better
This was the losers finals match for top 16 at winterfest.

Can someone give me some advice on my dictator this is my most recent set part 3 the last one its ken vs dictator… i think i did well but made some errors
Are you late teching? didn’t look like it. It seems you have the case of the online Bison too (always pressing buttons / always wanting to burn meter to get out of a situation).
not bad…just be a lil more patient when you have the lead.
also, dont jump in with mk so much. This ken didn’t do it, but most shotos will dp after the mk jump in and disrupt your pressure. I personally prefer HP or HK
ok thanks alot bro
some recent crap of mine
im bison on right/ hatless one

I’ve started my OFFISHAL BIPSON PRESSHA series of vids. I recently declared M. Bison my main, have invested about 10 hours so far. I’m planning to upload a ton of matches which I hope you guys will critique. Its a mixture of wins, losses, and all kinds of shit. If people actually watch the vids I might do commentary in the future. Anyway, let me know how good or bad I am! Of course, I prefer constructive criticism as always.
Please keep in mind I barely know any matchups. I’m just playing with common sense most of the time. Therefore, don’t assume I know anything when giving me tips. Thanks!

Welcome to the Dic club.
Good start so far. Good job recognizing an unsafe slide against Gief and FADC’ing it. With most of Bison’s matchups (maybe even all?), you should be trying to trap your opponent in the corner, which severely limits their options against Bison. If you predict an the opponent trying to jump out of the corner, use a head stomp. If you think the opponent will neutral jump to bait your scissors, I think EX may be a slightly better option.
On the opponent’s wake up (espcially in the corner), walk back cr.mk/cr.mp in scissors can be mixed up with throws and frame traps to keep the opponent guessing and keep up the pressure. If you think the opponent will go nuts on their wake up, you may want to wait a moment before pressuring with scissor kick.
Bison’s most used frame traps tend to be (got frame data from other thread, I don’t trust my math for working out windows for frame traps)-
cr.lk, scissors, cr.lk, scissors - 1 frame window
cr.jab, close st. HP - 6 frame window
cr.lk, close st.HP - 7 frame window
There’s more info in the frame trap thread, explaining things in more detail.
As always when learning a character, watch high level replays, streams/archives, and tournament footage and pay attention to setups and strategies used by those players.
One thing against Rufus, any blocked ex jesus kick is a free U1. Doesn’t matter what followup he does and doesn’t matter if he tries to FADC it, if you block it he is going for a ride.
Against Viper as far as I know she has no answer other than block for crossup PC on a knockdown. Her hp tk her wannabe DP is too slow and shitty to beat it.
Against gief you pretty much play him like I do. Zone him with normals. While harder to do online you can use neutral jump hk/hp on reaction to his jumps to AA him. nj.hp also can beat wakeup/crouch lariat if you know the spacing I will be uploading a video at some point showing just how crazy the hitbox is on the psycho banana lol. Like anything else though gief can beat it if he is ready for it so don’t get predictable.
Rog is always an odd match for me personally, hard to apply any meaningful pressure since he has the passive defense of a stunted lower hurtbox. Don’t have too much to add to that one.
No, that’s not true, if he does undelayed LK ender there is no gap between the EX messiah and the follow-up, so U1 is not always guaranteed. If he does LK ender, FADC, backdash you can punish with s.HK though.
Hmm odd I have yet to fail to U1 punish that crap. I’ll keep that in mind.
Delayed mk ender will also make reversal U1 whiff. Basically, it shouldn’t be considered a free U1 if the Rufus knows what he’s doing.
“Delayed mk ender will also make reversal U1 whif”
Delayed u1 punish him with auto correct
If you delay U1, then you will miss the punish if he doesn’t follow up with anything.

Got murdered in the last round unfortunately. Have very, very little experience against Vega. Any general tips greatly appreciated.
