That’s the thing: you CAN do it 100% if you do the input properly. Doesn’t matter if less skilled players dont know how. The better ones will counter it, and those are the ones you should be training to beat.

why u2 against mokoto?..i try to focus a bit more when i play against her. I played a really good local makoto here in Chicago. He bodied me really bad. Coudn’t do much against the command grab and overheads T______T .

I play against a lot of Makoto players and I find the match up pretty easy. Just lame her out, out footsie her, and give her the minimum amount of respect you can. When she doesn’t have ultra I don’t think there is anything she can do about PC shenanigans so you can whore that out too.

Could I have used head stomp more for corner pressure and to stop the opponent from escaping? I think I hardly ever use that move. And I think one time EX devil’s reverse gets FADC’ed safely, which I didn’t know was possible. Is it possible for them to FADC if they only get hit by the tip of the arm or something?
I know that players like Neurosis loves using headstomp, especially when the opponent is in the corner. It’s good to start throwing it out there to stop jumping opponents. However it can hurt your spacing and make you lose that position in the corner.

Yeah that figures…but It did look like a gross up and I did not really see a reason why he would not have been blocking so I got hyped that I did at least something half decent today - oh well.

Pretty much universally agreed that getting stomp or dr to crossup, if it happens, is almost always an accident. There might be a few setups but if I remember correctly they are not all that reliable.
EX DEVIL and go over them and comes back is pretty effective, at least I think if is 2 meter waste but, is pretty safe as long as you hit them on the tip.
I think is possible to make Devil Reverse cross up after you hit 2 punch, if you land them VERY CLOSE to your shoulder plate, it look so much like cross up.
but is hard, if they walk back, is gonna be whiff, it works well when people try to punish it.
you need build up mind fk meter more to do these and lure them in to corner, possible setup is get throw and get a safe jump while charge down when land it other side and wait for any bait after initial jump in HK/MK get block, then EX devil right there, normally they will think is head stomp and walk back but you CROSS them up again and fly back with EX devil, and get a knock down, AND you get a free HEAVY PSYCHO to get out, as long as they don’t have ultra like Honda to hit you horizontally, I did that with DJ sometime, and so as makoto, they can’t do anything beside watch and sigh.
It work pretty well on gen too, but must be ex psycho out.
How often do you guys manage to land a hell attack into Ultra? I’ve realised that I hardly ever, so I’ve been trying to look for signs or try to read when my opponent will jump. Is this what you guys do? I’ve always been used to just anti-airing, that I totally forget about it.
Depends on the matchup. Characters with low jump arcs won’t take it. Easier against big characters who rely on jumping from close distances. Zangief, THawk and Rufus are easier to catch. Shotos are OK. Yun, Gen are almost impossible.

if no jump in and block is what it takes that I rate to let gen jump in at you are way too dangerous, he can throw you until you dizzy, and yes his OS are good, and yes if you try just once to tech? you eat counter into super into ultra in no time, sounds crazy right??

this Honda I used to lose to, if he play full rush is gonna be very fast, I think I just get lucky out on this one, I don’t anti air him because I used to whiff and eat hand, so I rather use st.mk to spacing and prevent him from jumping.
I think rush Honda is crazy good, all he do is trade, and when you dizzy he is gonna win…
