edit: got answers thanks
Lucky I play some pretty good oni offline (west. He help me out a lot)
Oni I can said I play it like cody. Bit more careful because oni can do some really big damage and few combo that u r stun.
His zoning kind suck. So I still treated as better wake up counter character. Some of his normal is good some of them are suck so you can out footsie farely easy. But once he get in. The damage is on his side. But again. If you can’t be hit just anti air and footsie. He can only take some risky guess. Like his srk. Can’t be safe cancel so is good to bait it out or change ur scissor pattern hope this help
It really didn’t… looking for answers to specific questions
On your first vid you got counterhit because he fully charged the fireball which is two hits you must have either tried to dash cancel after the first hit or just let go. As for the U2 question I wouldn’t try it, all of Oni’s DP’s are 3 frame startup and HP and EX as you saw srk has more than enough invul to make U2 whiff. I think he said he was late punishing it cause he just froze, he probably could have went into TC1 on you. U2 is useless in general now.
You can not focus slashes they armor break. As for which way to block it is quite literally guess unless they flash yellow. You can jab and probably short Oni out of any naked slash including ex (ex only has projectile invul). He can whiff punish stuff like any other char though if you just spam those buttons. Better option than stomp at the end of the second vid would probably have been either lk sk or inch forward and st.mk/st.hk
Overall Oni only has a few really good buttons hitbox wise with normals. The step kick is definatly NOT Ken’s its horrible hitbox can just be jabbed *side by side comparison at “I’m not Gouken...” Oni General Discussion Thread *. On the other hand his AA normals are really really good. I was plain stuffing Adon’s jag tooths with st.hp earlier today and his cr.hp is like Akuma’s it can stuff cross ups and is not slow as shit, and of course there is the dp.
whats up with him using super on round 2 lol?
practicing spacing psycho correctly for potential set ups

heres the vid of shungoku neurosis reckin team europe

is just crazy to watch neurosis game, we been told that head stomp on wake up is not safe, wake up psycho crusher is not safe, they are just gimmick as hell!
then how can this guy almost using them on every wake up and not being punish? (except I saw lucky d win by this…)
anyone give some explanation? this is beyond SURPRISE TACTIC, is like OH SHT I AM ABUSING THESE MOVE YAY!
EX head stomp punish neutral jump I understand, is fairly safe and is very good if they try to bait out your Scissor for neutral jump punish, it became even more obvious in corner because no matter which way you jump EX head stomp gonna catch you once your feet leave the ground.
these close range tec is pretty deep. (short short walk back and walk forward throw to catch late tec but can’t have reaction to tec again because they afraid eating st.fierce, and short short become the trap that walk back can almost AVOID EVERYTHING! even sweep!)
short short-throw
short, walk back cr.mk
short crounching walk back then wiggle a bit and throw them
just dashing throw can give people such trouble…
someone i know actually said bison have GDLK walk back, in fact, he have to dash to me FADC to stop me walk back a sec then sweep me, if he just DASH IN
and sweep, it will whiff, we test out most the cast in mid screen, I was watching c.viper sweep animation INTO my shin guard that I still happy walking back…
I guess is must be related with broken Bison hit box on stand…
what do you mean by Psycho/Headpress not safe on wakeup?
You clearly didn’t study these moves. They’re deeply abusive. You just need to know why and when.
Get to lab and you’ll see how strong they are.
Here is another video by me, not really high tier but at least I don’t get bodied like in the others, I made the video cool so the scrubbines does not hurt your eyes

And versus a very solid Giefster whos been SPD’ing my behind all over the place lately …

check what 2 weeks gen looks like, it is insane.
WHT? OVER 9000? THAT IS SPATA!

I do mention some one in this video I know, and I wish I can know how he gonna respond on certain move gen have.
he have reaction to dash in to throw me on my st.hk, that I do not have.
and sry for my cursing…I was so frustrated getting destroy, but that is how my learning comes.
to SNO, you remember how bad my bison was beginning, when I play you online.
I was total scrub that time and check me now…from scrub to better scrub is a lot of practice, I still mash but I add mash to my plan
I hear casino night zone!
Your Bison was never a scrub, you mostly had issues blocking/handiling rush or reacting. You also pressed too much buttons and did too much wakeup reversals.
I see lots of improvement here since last time I fought you. Very good, it looks like your fundamentals have improved!
Hmm, maybe it’s me but i sometimes I know what you are going to do. For example at 12:33 I was like “I bet he will sneak in a FADC slide” and you did. But I have lots of Bison mirror experience and I know Bison and Bison mentality a lot. However I think your opponent was feeling the same way, he was punishing you with focus attack so many times. Sometimes, just delay your moves a bit, that’s what I do especially with reversals. It catches your opponents off guard if they cannot sense your attack rhythm.
You still improved a lot! Keep up the good work!
Hey, I think we’ve played some scrubby mirror matches in ranked this week, I’m the Bison player from Austria.
Can’t say too much about the match since I’m not exactly great at this game either, but it seems to me that you are not patient enough against the Sagat. I think you are trying way to hard to get in by doing unsafe jumps (lots ot those), risky dashes and slides. Also lots of whiffed scissors which recover too close to the opponent, you should work on your spacing there (that’s one of my own problems too, somehow I’m unable to get rid of the bad habit of doing to many scissor kicks).
more of my Bipson. Now with more emo
vs Guile
vs Bison. Was experimenting with jump hp for a preemptive anti air on round 2… wasn’t working… like… at all lol. I think jump n heavy kick is best, but i still like jump heavy punch for wall whiffing vegas
Vs bison:
-always build metter at start 1st round: bison can’t punish it and when you have 1 metter you can punish devil reverse full screen!
-After knee press L, jump immediatly (safe jump against bison) and use one of 3 OS:
–HK: eat backdash
–cr HK: eat teleport
–Back teleport: when you see metter, no cheap!
-Against close ex psycho, punish it with autocorrect U2
-Against his jump: FA or cr.hp or ex psycho
thanks. What is best way to build meter vs bison? If you are careless with reverse opponent Bison can punish with headstomp, right?
sorry:
"-always build metter with devil reverse at start 1st round: bison can’t punish it and when you have 1 metter you can punish devil reverse full screen!"
You can continue if your enemy do it same!
that is gdlk advise, I thought not suppose jump in Mirror now I know what to look for…
