Thanks for your honesty and getting straight to the point again. Yeah EX psycho crusher is also liable to cody’s ruffian kick. I vs’ed a Cody a while ago, who consistently punished me with it. With regards to the bigger punishes, sometimes I just plain darn forget after using lk scissors all the time. I know skull diver can be anti-aired and FA’ed unless its EX, is DR the same? I think it’s safe to say, me and the other guy need to both work on our crouch tech.
For corner escapes, are there safer options than EX psycho crusher and teleport?
I’m not really in a position to critique anyone, but GITS was an awesome series. OST was pretty good too. Hope Production I.G. make a new one.
Skulldiver and DR can be AA’d, and some moves make the moves whiff completely, like Ryu cr.mk and Yang cr.lk, although Yang will be losing that in 2012. Skulldiver and DR can be focused punish on reaction, and the EX version can be focused on the first hit, and backdashed before the second hit. They’re really not good moves for attacking.
EX psycho escape from the corner is matchup dependent. Some characters can punish, others can’t. Some need meter to punish, and some need ultra.
Teleport should never be used to escape the corner. I can think of some situations, but generally it’s not a good idea. Against dive kick characters, you can use EX- Scissors to escape. EX headstomp can sometimes be used to escape if you hit, but if the opponent is walking back, you will get punished. It’s better to be patient and try to push your opponent back with your normals or cr.lk xx lk scissors.
Like I said, it’s situational. Sim’s U1 beats EX psycho/scissors, and the slide would make headstomp whiff and let him punish DR. He wanted to avoid the mixup/chip.
Hey there, I main Juri but I use Bison as my secondary, although I only ever played him casually before. Anyway, I used him for the first time competitively last Saturday at a small tournament. I was having a really bad day with Juri and seeing it was losers stages, I decided to bring out my Bison for the first time.

For the Sim MU I find it pretty useful to do meaty cr.mp/mk if I think he’s going to do wake-up ultra. If you do it right you can cancel the normal into back teleport to ensure safety

-0.11: Knee press mk Unsafe (cr.lp, cr.lk)
-0.12: Punish Rekka 1 with cr.lk knee press
-0.13: FA j.mp

-0.34: Random Jump: Unsafe, he can flame kick

Very solid Bison. Love him! Don’t overlook his turtiling abilities, you do like to jump in a lot but at times it did pay off. Be careful and smart, evaluate risk/reward but I feel you were doing this already.
I think you can work on your corner game a bit, Try to use stand heavy kick more to stop people from jumping, or a yomi headtomp really is devastating… that ryu was jumping in the corner more than he should of and you could of punished him harder for it.
Your usage of forward dash was very good, very nice reaction to fireballs. Bison’s dash is wonderful in the hands of a smart player.

Is very good against middle or bad player but against good player you cant forward dash free!

Of course, the best range for bison is St MK max range, why? cause you can counter and wiff punsh ALL ryu’s normal move. When you dash, you lost your safe range and it’s very dangerous so, okay for surprise 1 or 2 time but bison is not viper or yun, is a poke character, so poke and back, see Kim1234 video or TUC to learn patient

At the end I should of done jump heavy punch into normal xx special for safe chip ko. She could of mashed ultra against the final stand medium kick.
