I have a question about his BnB.
Basically, after launch you would do H, fly, H, unfly, H, land and do whatever.
For some reason I can’t seem to get the last H to hit, they’re always too far away.
What am I doing wrong?

you need either to hit jH faster. Or to delay it longer.
Well you have Crouching M and H but that seems to be kinda the problem with Nova (for some people), blocking high stops a lot of his mixups =/
Can you explain tri dashing and box dashing to me? I know how to wave dash but there are like 4 or 5 different dashes it makes me wonder.
Three quick questions. I know it’s generally better to seperate them but they should be quick and easy to answer.
[LIST=1]
[]Superjump up and ADD j:l:; there is no momentum from a down airdash from Nova, and j:l: is his fastest aerial
[]My main tool for approaching is an assist with :d:since it moves Nova so far and he can cancel into many moves to make it safe ( :h: is -4 on block,:d::h: is -3 on block, :f:+:h: is -5 on block, Grav Pulse :h: is -1/-1/+1 on block depending on red life, and Grav Pulse :l: is -7/+5/+11 depending on red life).
[*]Point in a direction and :atk: to make his hyper to change directions (Total of three with the hyper).

A tridash for Nova is where he jumps up or superjumps up, then dashes down forward or down back to create a triangle shape. A tridash starting with a superjump is much faster than a tridash starting with a jump. This is great for a lot of rushdown characters. You need to be aware that Nova’s airdash starts slow and accelerates, so you won’t have extremely tricky high/low mixups like Magneto has.
A boxdash works essentially in the same way where you jump or superjump up, but you will then airdash forward or backward. Combined with Nova’s j:h: which has a nice hitbox, you can use this to start some pressure with assists (Make sure you do :f:+:h: or +:h: to option-select throws as well). Like all of Nova’s airdashes except for straight down, it needs time to accelerate. Once Nova reaches the full speed of his airdash, he can travel almost fullscreen.
Thank you very much but what would you recommend as a block string / hit confirm with nova when he’s alone. Or any cancels out of H. And since grav pulse is -1 on block should I use :d: into pulse.
Most things canceled into H pulse are not true blockstrings though. You’ll get grabbed for trying it too much. Generally you shouldn’t even get further than 5B in a standard hitconfirm.
Usually you confirms will be Jump in + 2A, or Jump in + 5B, or Jump in + 2A>2B
After :d: the most safe normal is :d::h:. The best you can do is probably fly cancel without an assist. Since Grav Pulse has startup time, you can get thrown or hit by fast :l: normals.
What the hell, cr.H is safer on block than st.H? Also if my opponent is blocking a ground airseries from me I usually fly cancel st.H and dash away or if I’m feeling random I’ll go for j.S since somehow people forget to block that. Bad habit on my part but I try to keep it to a minimum.
Can anyone hook me up with Nova’s Frame data?
Normals
Standing :l: -3
Standing -2
Standing :h: -4
Crouching :l: -2
Crouching -10
Crouching :h: -3
:s: -7
:f:+:h: -5
Notable Specials (Anything not mentioned is more than -9 on block)
Grav Pulse :l: (-7/+5/+7)
Grav Pulse (-5/-2/+1)
Grav Pulse :h: (-1/-1/+1)
Centurion Rush -5
Nova Strike -9
question: can you jump cancel cent rush H? if so, under which circumstances can i? (do not have a marvel disc to check otherwise i’d not post here)
you can only super jump cancel out of it on hit, don’t think you can do it on block.
Yea, you can only jump cancel on hit and if its blocked you cant . Just tested it today.
I know its been discussed in this thread before but Novas AD down L is done with a super jump. But is der any other way to do it cos it seems much more faster wen i see players doing it in matches
I do it from a normal jump and it comes out fine in my experience.
I think order of speed is something like SJ Air Dash Down L > Normal Jump Air Dash Down L > SJ Air Dash Down Forward L > Normal Jump Air Dash Down Forward L
i thought as much maybe it just seems faster when ur looking at. but thanks for the replies
How are you supposed to use forward H to otg? I can’t seem to pull it off.
Mash.
