thanks for the reply. I’m trynna run Nova/dorm/doom. I picked nova up a couple hours ago and seems like fun. ive been doing just fwd h into s mmh flight mhs dp light into nova force for now . there something I can do with hard tag ?

I know no one’s asked, but the answer to the question “should I abuse the fuck out of Centurion Rush H” is yes, yes, yes. This move is OP and no one uses it enough. It is a retarded full-screen whiff punish (that is safe with the right assists, namely Drones) and turns into happy birthdays more than half the time if you’re smart. I was destroying people on the strength of this move alone tonight. It’s probably even better online. If you’re already using it, good.

I’ve already praised the greatness of Centurion H, but the problem is that assists that make it safe are a bit uncommon, the armor doesn’t startup for 22 frames, and if you don’t have one of those assists you have to burn a bar to make it safe which is a bit expensive for a fishing attempt. That said, punching to nullify an assist’s projectiles and getting a happy birthday is very satisfying.

So, I think I may have found a use for Nova’s ADDF other than incoming mixups. I haven’t tested it in many matches yet, but super jump then (delayed) ADDF into H can be really tricky counter-hit setup. If it’s one of those matches where you’re taking to super jump height to outrun someone with a superior ground game, this might be a good way to mount an offense against people trying to chase you down or projectile-heavy characters (think Dormammu) trying to snipe you (think Purification). Since it’s an H move it can be option-selected to escape throws as well. Super jump ADDB H might be a good way to mix it up against someone advancing forward on the ground as well. Any thoughts?

I use Nova’s ADDF to nullify pushblocks when people push block Taskmaster arrows. I also press j.H while doing it because the start up animation and the fact that Nova starts talking can throw people off… When done from the right height, it allows for a nice c.H because the j.H starts up, then whiffs…you land…they get hit

I actually prefer ADDB for when taking to super jump heights. Camera follows you when you’re at that height, and when you dash, the next thing anyone sees is them getting kicked in the back by that :h:.

They’re both really good, it just depends on how your opponent tends to react to super jumps.
And dougiie, I noticed that if you do it low to the ground it looks like the H is JUST about to come out but it whiffs, so that’s a really nice setup for that.
Something to mix it up with: an empty ADDF with an assist crosses up, so if your opponent is getting used to this tactic that’s one way to catch them off guard, pun not intended.

Hey guys I just started playing nova/dorm/doom and I’ve been trying to do the corner combo with nova/dorm where you go into super nova then DHC to stalking flare and then teleport above them hit S to get the hard knockdown. My problem is I can never get the hard knock down. I hit them and they just air recover. I would really appreciate any tips.

you have to make sure the Nova super happened in the air (after a launch)

Rocks ain’t bad, but for Nova’s purposes the instant lockdown of the beam is too good to pass up.

practice it from a neutral jump first jump up and on the way down, do j.H…when done correctly, it should look like the realizes I have a video showing what I’m about to say midpost…lmaoo…go to 6:30

c.M is a little slow to connect off of j.H, but I think you should be able to do it. No reason not to go with s.H though, does more damage and scales better. The most lenient link would be c.L I guess.
