I was playing casuals against a Zero player earlier this week and he shot a lv.1 Buster at me when I was coming down with a j.H with Nova.
The buster hit the fire from his feet and disappeared.
Does anyone know if Nova’s j.H beats low durability projectiles? Because it sure looks like it.
Maybe I’m going crazy, but I swear I’ve seen Infirit cancel the centurion rush h with just a jump, and if I’m not mistaken he does it on block…did I see something that wasn’t there, or anybody know how he’s doing this if I’m right?
It seems like a cool mixup, but It does waste a meter. But if you have like 3 or 4 bars stored up it should be ok. Especially since Nova doesnt use meter like crazy
How does the jump cancel on a blocked Cent Rush H work? I can’t seem to figure out how to get it consistently in training mode.
Also, does anyone find it a lot harder to do the H-loop combo midscreen when you hit with a c.H? I get the combo pretty consistently with s.H, but with c.H, they’re always too far out by the third j.H in the air. Any tips?
to get the jump cancel on block, you need a projectile to hit at the same time. I’ve gotten it to work with Task arrows or energy javelin but Infrit originally put the tech out there with drones
It’s really hard to do midscreen from any normal, really. I was under the impression most Novas werent even going for the H’s without being in or near the corner for that reason. But if Im wrong about that, someone should correct me so I’m not steering folks astray. It’s definitely possible to do, but like you said, the ‘pushaway’ midscreen is so severe, it may not be worth it unless conditions are ideal.
That said, if sH leads to ideal conditions, that’s good to know
You can control it on whiff too. Practice it. Become a better pilot dawg. Also, end the rocket hyper diagonally down instead of straight down. Less recovery frames which means it makes it harder to punish on block and easier to confirm on hit.
It’s very spacing dependant (maybe even character dependant).I usually do it if I managed to nail them with a perfect IOH j.L because that means that I’m at point-blank range and they’re grounded so it can work but if I’m not feeling confident I just go for an easier combo
