alright guys ive been playing around with jus about every character in the game and rather then goin thread to thread trying to find teams for those characters i figured this might be better… this is probably the only game ove enjoyed playing this much and have actually gotten a competitve as far as winning and losing with the people i play against so this is for lists of teams that dont have names… santhrax, MSP etc etc… jus put down any of ur teams that you enjoy playing with or are jus screwing around with and what you do with the team…
me personally im startin to enjoy the teams of
dhalsim/storm/ken < RUSHDOWN!!! and use ken to keep them off you :looney:
anakaris/storm/son son < mash the living hell out the AC wit the coffin super and DHC to hail, son son to wall run, anti air attack xx big stick :rock:
storm/juggernaut/cammy < rushdown/battery for LS DHC headcrush, once gettin a lil low on health or a bad match up comes up dhc to KBA
Lacks and AA and its worst nightmare is runaway, especially if Rogue is out (meaning she’s dead, not meaning she’s on-point). Still doesn’t stand up against a good MSP or whatever, but I still do alright for having such a low-tier’d team.
Zombie to Tron’s rings to Tyrant is a nasty combo… assuming the zombie’s got em. If not, you can still combo into Tron then into Tyrant. Same with Rogue.
jill/storm/tron - the usual, dhc to hail.
wolverine/storm/tron - one of my fave fun teams. AC into air grab, or groundcombo+tron to berserker barrage x.
wolvie/wolvie/tron - same concept, just w/o storm. double the fun with wolverine. LOL
jill/storm/cammy gives you the anti-air and plays really fun for jill AC ending in her super dhc into hail… storm gives every mid low tier a nice cover and added damge to there super with her DHC it connect with jus about everything
iceman/storm/sentinel makes the life runaway from the other characters… iceman icebeam with sentinel ground jus kills and launch lp,mp, avalanchexxartic attack DHC to hail goes for as much as 80 hits and huge damage more chipping strats if your far away with storm icebeam assist plus whilwind canceled to hail is too much
check this out… the sickest team ive ever seen in action… i was playing earlier today on a newer arcade that didnt have ALL the characters… so i picked storm/tron/cableAA… wow ive never picked a team that makes life disappear so fast… first attack of the game is against this guys venom… c.lk plus trons projectile assit, they block low i jump up and over head them ( his venom and cyclops) wit hp and two of the rings connect i go into whirlwind hailstorm and jus like that venom down to nothing life and cyclops is down to jus a point of life… no exageration this team has huge damage potential and fairly easy to connect everything for big damage… im sure someone knows about this but i was blown away how fast 4 matches went by
gief on ground type screws up rushdown completely for the opponent. cant trijump on you and plus, if it hits then you have a free sent combo or ahvb . but my gief really sucks, i just use him for his assist
makes sense… he covers a lot of ground with that lariat now that i picture it in my head… but thats not bad at all… i wouldnt b able to figure gief out i think the motions are jus to much wit the 360 turns and everything… thats jus me though im sure there some pretty good gief players out there
but his assist is too slow to get out, if i used cable i can cable hop right into a hyper viper and catch your assist…don’t let me have 3 bars cuz he’s done.
If Tron is on your team, she should pretty much always be last. If you put her second, you better have a damned good reason for doing so, because it is generally extremely inferior strategically. Your most used assist should always be last so that they can heal.
If you don’t know how to protect Zangief, you shouldn’t be playing him. If you’re in the position to “Cable hop” and your opponent calls Zangief OR ANY ASSIST without some level of protection for that assist, your opponent is a retard and you clearly aren’t being challenged.
Cable/Sent/Zangief is a damned good team - Julian Robinson used that extensively again this ECC to win.
Well put, but I don’t use tron at all(I don’t know if that remark was directed to me)i was just adding my 2cents for this thread. I haven’t seen many good zangief’s some tried to use him as an assist but when it came down to the last charecter(zangief) they got destroyed
^-- Those guys are scrubs. Zangief got nerfed hardcore in MvC2, but he’s not bad. You should play against a good Zangief player sometime. Anybody who doesn’t know how to use whatever assist they choose to at least take out half a character is pretty much a scrub. I have not seen a better MvC2 Zangief player than Julian, but I imagine you’ve got some pretty good Gief players down there in Cali if you actually hunt. Please don’t judge Gief by the clowns you’re playing against right now: they sound pretty bad.
