Yeah, rush that fool down. Anyone got tips on Cammy? As I said on the other thread they keep beating me; I dunno if it’s cos I’m a) sucky, b) impatient or if c) it’s a bad match-up. I know a few other people have said they were having problems with her.
i found i had to sort of bait cammy to attack me when at full screen and then i could thump on her once she was within a 1/2 screen distance.
Man, I hate that crazy beyotch. I was playing sucky all night but especially sucky when I faced her, jump? Cannon Spike to the balls. Roll or walk? Spiral arrow to the guts. Is that shit safe on block too? I’m going to go read the Cammy thread? And her Ultra and Super always knock her back miles if they whiff. Grrrr… Need to practice more.

How have you guys handled Fuerte players so far? Obviously it’s 50/50 if you get knocked down, but do you know of any trades/reversals to his frog splash? I normally just mash focus and back dash to get the hell out of there. I also found that his Messiah Kick will typically hop over Fuerte if he gets caught running, and I end up getting grabbed. Also, what’s a good air to air trade for his elbow (or should I just standing fierce it?)
Honestly the match can go either way, IMHO. Either character can get worked over once a knock down occurs.
Same for me except replace Fei w/ Blanka, especially ones who do nothing but runaway to ball. Does sweep beat electricity?

He is hard but my suggestion is actually to try and keep him away. Cr. HP beasts out any mostly full screen to full screen rushing punch. (Unless he baits you with a jab straight rushing punch, that will hit you.)
I also try and triangle jump to bait headbutt etc. Punish a head butt with Cr.MP. Sure damage isn’t great but it’s free damage.

So, what moves does Rufus have to beat Blanka’s electricity?
Also, why does everyone online start by jumping backwards and running to one corner then to the other? It’s not just when I play Rufus, I mean everyone runs away in this game all the time. I feel like I’m constantly having to chase people; it’s they all went from camping with energy swords in Halo to camping in SF4.
I know it’s a valid tactic in some situations, but they do it no matter what, even when they’re near death. It’s like if I don’t want to wait 70 seconds for a time over I have to keep following them. I’ve only ever played one Boxer and one Vega who rushed me, and it was great. I swear there’s some scrub wiki that tells ppl to do nothing but run away and shoryuken no matter the situation (or ball or cannon drill) all the time.
Most ppl are sheep minded. Meaning someone did it to them so they do it. Notice how the number of kens dropped after a week and went to gief and blanka?
Not to mention that the bigger stages make it much, much easier to run away. Thank God Rufus can link his Ultra from pretty much anything and when he does get close he can deal massive amounts of damage pretty quickly and pretty easily.
c.mk beats it, if i’m close and i can jump over then i do that as well to reset his charge for roll or begin to charge FA which beats electricity as well or if i have ultra then throw that out because it beats it. try and trap blanka in a corner and stay 3/4 screen from him and you should be able to control him much like any other character.
does FA beat blanka’s ball?
Horizontal ball armor breaks, so no. It’s fair game against rainbow ball though.
