I am not trying to be a dick or disrespectful to homosexuals in any way but i do have a question that has been on my mind for a long time. This question has been on my mind since i first heard it on the show scrubs.

After hearing it I have spent time pondering the question as a real possibility that may be supportable by gay stereotypes. That is, the stereotype of vanity. Vanity can be seen on almost any television show with homosexual characters, or in homosexual lifestyles portrayed in the media. Also, from real life experiences I have witnessed over time southern california property vaules rise with a majority homosexual population. This phenomana is true and documented and it makes me question “if it is from a drive to make it fabulous”

What I mean by this is that any vanity could lead to a drive or appreciation of the human body, specificaly their own, to perhaps a degree of arousal. As a male, I love the female body because I am attracted to females. Likewise, as far as I know it also vice versa.

So, if you can forgive me for all these influnces and any offense people may take…
My question is, do gay guys get turned on by their own weiner?

I can so pilot the Blue watever from Voltron!
I love riding things.
:bgrin:

penis envy? hell straight guys can get turned on by looking at their own powerful tool.

I never thought about it…if I’m looking I’m probably touching too…so iunno

Some do, some don’t. Don’t really know anything else to add to this. lol I know I feel sexy in leather (pics or no pics…YOU DECIDE!)

All I can say is that kind of arousal is just that. Arousal. I doubt you’ll find any gay guy so in love with his own body that he’ll never need another guy (then again, thanks to the internet, I wouldn’t be surprised to be proven wrong).

Oh and since beatsofdevil gets to be Carmen Sandiego then I get to be Panthro. What’s up now, bizhes!

LOLOLOL! PANTHRO?

WTF

Fine.

Hell no!

This really has nothing to do with stereotypical fag vanity, actually. It’s hypothesized that this phenomena has more to do with the fact that gay friendly neighborhoods have a tendency torwards a certain quality that attracts certain kinds of people, like artist types, or something of the sort, and the whole area actually ends up benefiting from it. It’s more of a side effect of having a gay population rather than gays themselves doing the work.

BTW, no, looking at my own piece doesn’t do it for me. I can sort of understand how you might have come to that conclusion, but an appreciation of the male body doesn’t necessarily translate to appreciation for ones own male body.

Maybe I’m just not my type. :frowning:

Yasashiyama: Let’s see them pics.

I took a video on xtube of mine. I dont’ know if i didn’t cause my own dick turns me on. … nah i don’t think that i’m turned on by my own dick. Hmm wait lemme think about that.

if i was flipping through a bear mag and saw a pick of my dick would i stop and … Hmm… no i don’t think so cause if I’m honest … i wouldn’t pick up a magazine that just had a whole catalogue of penis in it and no bodies or anything

9 out of 10 times it’s the entire guy and fantasizing about sucking or fucking him or whatever that gets me going sorry for the visual straight guys, but it is what it is not necessarily the penis.

As for the atmosphere? Gays like nice things. so they get nice things and UPGRADE.
Also consider that 2 guys living in a household has a higher earning potential in theory than a straigh couple cause statistically don’t women make less than men? Which isn’t to say that a lesbian couple wouldn’t have a high earning potential as well. But the lesbian couples i know they are in real good with there companies and make a pretty penny as well.

So I don’t know… minus the children and all that I guess you’d see gay households investing more into there surroundings than straight household with kids and shit … I dont’ know man. Sorry I don’t have an answer

I understand what you mean about the mag full of dicks. I probably wouldn’t wanna read a mag that was just open pussy closups either. But I think to restate the original question in a better way, if you have a nice body, can you be turned on by looking in the mirror?

…seriously.

I like looking at myself in the mirror nekkid. But it doesn’t really turn me on. I either get turned on from then thinking dirty thoughts or I am already doing something naughty which is being reflected in the mirror in which case, I’m already turned on.

I think some guys are so vain that they do get turned on by looking at their own body. Don’t think anyone here is like that…

Case in point, I probably couldn’t be with someone that looked alot like me…

MY 21st BIRTHDAY IS ONE WEEK FROM NOW.

WEeeeeee

Very well said.

That’s narcissism, not homosexuality. And that does exist in heterosexual people too. A male narcissist might like women, but the only man they like is themselves and that turns them on.

men in general think they are all that. straight or gay. my school was all reflective…straight guys checking out themselves constantly was pretty funny

Yasashiyama: Bob’s been confirmed to be a regular non-Mokujin character. Looks like our chub on chub action money match is possible now. <3

I’m not turned on by looking at myself in the mirror. I can’t lie and say that I’m not vain at all, though. I appreciate when I look at myself in the mirror naked but it’s not because I’m like “MAN I’M BEAUTIFUL!” I’m just proud of myself for finally getting fit and staying that way. I used to be fat. :wasted: I’ve been consistently weighing in at about 160-170 and I used to weigh like 235 (I was several inches shorter, too), but that’s when I drew the line and got a gym membership and all that. It’s hard to not check yourself out in the mirror when you had to fight for what you look like, I guess. That’s how I feel about it. Might as well admire it if I put that much effort into it. Definitely nothing sexual though. shrug

Holy shit, 235??

Half of the guys here would have sooo f-ed you…lol

Pics plz.

Just curious, but what do you all think about men who are “Metrosexual?” Amongst my friends, i’m considered to be a metrosexual. I tend to care about style and the way I dress, i.e. I might wear a slim pair of pants and a european cut shirt. Instead of going shooting or camping, i’d rather prefer going to a lounge, experiencing different foods, or going to a museum (not that I wouldn’t do “manly” things, but i’m not bothered by not doing it).

Now, I have this friend that acts very macho. He really pisses me off, because he’ll always bring up the idea that i’m a metro amongst our friends. Everyone giggles, points fingers, and allude to the idea of me being gay. This really irritates me because i’m not gay, and I don’t like it that people automatically think negative or un-manly when it comes to gay people. Some of the gay guys I know are FAR from the flambouyant types you might find.

I’m just venting, because I hate the general viewpoint of Metrosexuals and Homosexuals in general. It’s as if people still think that only flambouyant or “un-manly” men gay. W.T.F.

People are stupid…

Unfortunately, thanks in great part to the media, people tend to view gays as flaming cross dressing homos. So that being said, if you look like, or act in anyway that slightly resembles this, you will be called “metro”…this probably isn’t as bad as being called a homo, but it’s just the way our society has to put tags on everything and everyone.

You seem comfortable with yourself…you shouldn’t have to worry about what others say. If they’re your real friend they’re probably just fucking around…if not, then fuck 'em.
