I’m pretty excited seeing that VF is picking up in Washington with the 360 release!
I am pretty bummed that it sounds like Yosuke will be leaving the Northwest soon… really sad about that…
And of course, I wish I just had more time… but yeah… life of working at a startup… doing the work of like 5-10 people until a team is built…

It would have been really really sweet to be able to organize a Washington/Oregon gathering in Yosuke’s honor before he heads off… I want to do something like that… but I don’t know if I’ll be able to secure enough time off of work for it 
(work about 6 days a week, around 15 hours a day).
But I know you guys up in Washington have been good to him lately, I’m glad

Virtua Fighter is a fun game. It is a lot of fun to watch. I’m still relearning the basics, but no game out there looks better. :tup:

If you are available, I would like to go with you. I am talking with Chanchai about portland vf trip during thanksgiving days, and it is very interesting. I could go there by train or bus, but it is more fun to visit with other players, you know? There is one more chance left I can play you guys at preppy’s house…
This trip is like some portland 2D game players who visit preppy’s party sometimes. vf players in portland are much forward and advanced level, so it is a good oppotunity for Seattle palyers to go there, see how they play, and play together.
Chanchai is very very good at teaching beginners.
…and we have no preppy’s party this weekend as well.

Word up on the VF love. I jus’ bought a PS3, and while I lament that PS3 gets an earlier ver. of the game, s’nice to have. I’ve not really played much until now. I’mma start trolling forums in hopes of learning. When I was in Tokyo in January, I witnessed quite a lot of VF5, very intense. I"m still trying to find a character that suits me best. Sarah, Brad, and Vanessa are my strongest. I’m trying to narrow it down though, that way I can make it a bit easier on myself to actually learn the game. Also, with the introduction of the PS3 to my home, my room mate, a Tekken player, has begun taking interest! He’s playing Eileen.

Yosuke I have now just cancelled ALL my Thanksgiving plans! Count me in!
Portland or fucking bust. I only been through there (when I drove from AZ to here). It seems like a cool place.
Friday and Saturday night, we can play at my work–but there is a fee. But it’s not that expensive.
But you’ll be playing on some awesome HD setups.
Thanksgiving is Thanksgiving, so the plan is that Yosuke will be spending all that time partying with my family (lots of good food). But we might do something Thursday night.
But the partying is mainly Friday/Saturday!
The details aren’t 100% yet, so that’s why I’ve been quiet about it. But I’m looking forward to it. And as anyone in Portland will acknowledge, I’m always happy giving people VF advice as well as I can.

Wait, if it’s not Turkey day then I’m just gonna party it up here. My work is closed that day but I work the next day, got the next day off then work in the morning the next, so no dice for me.
If anyone has Yosuke’s current phone #, please have him call me ASAP.
He has my number. He called me last night and at the time my iPhone recorded his number but of all dumb luck, the firmware update finished downloading and my iPhone reset itself to update while we were talking… and now it doesn’t have his # recorded on there.
I almost got a train ticket for him that would have worked well with our plans, but now the PDX --> SEA train sold out for early Sunday… so we have to figure out whether to get Saturday night (which really sucks for me) or Sunday night (which seems to suck for him).

I am pretty sure that Frank is the one who has been improving tremendously… he was not a hardcore VF player, but I think he practiced so much…he is as good as VF hardcore-low-to-middle level players. it’s so impressive.
If he gets to know how hit checking is important and attends VF party(you should check VFDC!!), he will get much better.
I mean Frank needs some experience with other VF players. this is one way of the practice you can not get by yourself.
