after coming back from Strong Style 4 and WCW2 this year, i can say that the formula of a tournament held @ a hotel, near the airport can work well, and it does help to draw out of towners. We, the seattle cats will pack out NWM regardless of where its located, but if we make it more accessible to others they will show up.
Im willing to pay more for a registration / venue fee if it helps to accomplish this. I would also be willing to help with the physical labour of setup/ cleanup. this is our scene, and we should look to grow and make our events more hype every year.
In the end, im down for where ever, but we shouldnt be quick to knock the two day : pools and hype matches ( day 1), top 8/16 and big money-matches/ special events (day 2) set up
Xeris: Please do not tie GG to SSBM. Will not do very well to get people wanting the tourney to happen.

Dear Frank & Brent - what is the status on this? Do we have a venue or tentative time set aside? If we can get a venue, I think the rest will come together. Should I continue working on the website and making it more pretty/less crappy?
I am a lousy competitor, but I would love to help keep the website up-to-date and run some tournaments/brackets and such if any help is needed. I know there is a lot of work that goes into something like this, but I hope you can get some reliable people to work with and help distribute the load.
If nothing else, I’d love to keep the thread bumped. 
I’d say Venue is about 90% guaranteed.
Date: I’m shooting for August 14th and 15th.
I will be talking to Brent about this at Bragging Rights so I’m sure the two of us can get a lot accomplished once we sit down and tackle it head on…
