Dickson City seems only 10 minutes away if i google mapped it correctly. But anyways, i play mvc3 (until i get bodied and put the controller down) and ssf4. I’m 10x better at ssf4. Although i’ll play any fighting game if it’s a good one. I also play mk9. I only have 1 crappy 360 stick (saving up for a Hori though, all poor from the move)

I’m from the area, but I didn’t know anyone was interested in a scene.
That Gaming Place had one location, then it moved to another, and then it went under. It’s gone. It was mostly LAN shooters and SSBM anyway.
If you guys find a place to play some I’d possibly be interested as well depending on the day. I play mk9, mvc3, 3s, hd remix, blazblue, and ssf4 ae (although I’m ass at sf4). I haven’t played on ps3, but if I had to I’d give it a shot, but I’d greatly prefer 360 if the option is available.

yeah, that place is kinda iffy. If you guys are okay with paying for a membership ($10 a month) + 4 dollars an hour for console time, im down. But the problem is that we have to use their 360s, and their tv’s
many tv’s have lag, and i dont think we’ll have access to any xbla titles (hd remix) and when AE comes out, thatll be a pain

Can’t guarantee anything inside, BUT… I know some people that would be willing to get together up in Dunmore at my buddy’s house. I’ll have to call him and arrange something with him to make sure though. He plays fighters, though not very good at them… and I have some people in the Poconos that might be down to coming on up to Dunmore. I can also bring a PS3.

That price does seem steep, but it was really convenient for me :(. Although, and correct me if I’m wrong, it looked like it was either $10 per month or $5/hour. If not there, could we do it somewhere in the dickson city or scranton area? I might be able to do dunmore, but definitely not binghamton. TBH though, Adventure Games seems like the best place to do it at least for day 1 since it’s public. People who see us might be inclined to join.
Also, the website says you can bring your own stuff.

yeah the website says that but I called them (after finding both phone numbers listed on the site dont work, I had to use google to get the correct one) and they said people can only bring their own stuff for “all nighters”
they also never replied to an email I sent them over a week ago
if you guys want to try that place out im fine with that, they did confirm they have decent parking, which is always a plus haha.
if we go there, I might bring my 360 just incase. I really would like to try and get some HDR sessions in.

I’m assuming you can bring your own games and stuff there? I’d be willing to pay 14-20 bucks for a 1st time meet-up, but only once, that’s a pretty steep price.
i talked to them on the phone and they said the only time people bring their stuff is when they have all nighters. If we could so much as find a place that will let us have access to a plug, that would be great.

Friday, I get out of work at 430, have to (potentially) drive my carpooler back home, which takes all of 10 minutes off of my ride. I work 1.5 hours from Dickson City.
IF he doesn’t car pool with me on Friday, I go in work later, thus getting out at 5, and I don’t have to take him home.
I can’t stay TOO late though, so if we get there at 7, I could stay until about 8:30 before I want to get to the Poconos. My girlfriend is going to London next week, and this weekend is the last time I get to see her until she comes back.
I’m a Binghamton dude. Depending on where abouts in NEPA I might be able to stop by some times.
