Hey All-
There will be a Street Fighter IV tournament on Friday March 26, 2010

And every following Friday

There is a catch:

The tournament is INVITATION ONLY There are limited spots available.

The way it works is if you want to come send me an email.
Then:
You will be contacted by me, with the location of the hotel. The doors open at 7 PM, but the real fighting will start about 10PM. It will give us time to mingle and get warmed up and enjoy the food.

(It will be in in the DFW Area Texas) the location will change every week, so only those who follow up will get the directions

The game will be played on PS3 and you’re welcomed to bring your own sticks- If you play on Xbox, don’t worry we have TE sticks available.

The entry fee is $20: covers food, and the tournament fee, and ranbats

We will have casuals fights prior to the main event, and team matches are planned.

The TOP FIGHTER of the night will be invited again for the following week along with the prize pot for the night.

We have other things planned - like keeping track of your stats, and official record of your bouts, we’re also trying to make a 5 man team to compete against other local Fight Clubs, but more information will be provided to those who wish to inquire.

This sounds like he’s trying to setup a new Fight Club or Goons, not a tournament. Talking about multiple weeks, keeping track of stats, multiple locations, doesn’t sound like a tournament as much as it sounds like trying to setup another DFW scene.

Could be fishing for top players. It would be cool if it was some kind of MLG sponsored event.

Sounds like a good deal to me though. It wouldn’t hurt if you guys went once to see if it was legit.

The thing is Friday nights we have either Fight Club or Goonz (they alternate weekly). Good luck on your tourney but you may not get the numbers your looking for or skill level at the beginning. My hopes that this will pull even more new players but you may want to open it up to non invite only. Having SF gatherings doesnt just have to happen at Goonz or Fight Club yall. Just saying.

Those are my thoughts anyway.

its easier to maintain and keep track of- we don’t want to get too big, but we hope to work something out with other fight clubs to see if we can do team fights 5v5

We’re trying to get a small commited group of players- we don’t want anything the size of other Fight Clubs- but we hope to get a solid team and then go compete to other tourneys

We do want to set up a “fight club” like group, but we are starting with a small tournament-
We are trying to get a good number of people to get some games it- its casual for now, but decided to make a tourney with some incentives to get people interested.

Thanks for your suggestions-
We’re not aming to get a large number of people hence the invite we want to get a good solid number of people about 15 people or so and get some games in on a regular basis- this is just a start who knows we may end up opening up. But for now we want to try this out.
