North Korea fires on South Korea

lol babysitter
more like the whole world views the USA as “mind your own fucking business and stop interfering in everything”

All areas the US has to intervene with end becoming countries the US occupies with troops afterwards. Don’t think China would like a country bordering them with US forces that is now being influenced by US diplomacy. Which is why nothing has been done this far about NK (at least I think so). Because nobody wants to piss China off. Again this recalls a political

Sounds crazy but how would we feel about Chinese forces setting up and occupying Canada after a conflict and instilling its ways of government just a borderline away? Sounds goofy because we view our country as the ultimate good in the world but not everyone else in the world feels that way. And similarly China probably views itself as a uniquely good establishment and western ways as bad. After a lot of the declassified info the majority of us on srk have read from previous conflicts and options that never made it to the table, nothing is impossible.

some people just need to die. Like seriously, Kim seems so fake its not even funny. I can’t understand how in this day and age, we allow somebody to do something like this, FOR ANY REASON.

Can you imagine virtually any other country, just attacking another country whenever it feels like it, and pretty much CONQUERING it’s citizens???

You gotta know when to hold 'em, know when to fold 'em.
Know when to walk away, and know when to run…

…That just seemed SO appropriate right now.

Yo. You ever watch that G4 Show called That’s Tough? They just did a toughest dictator’s list. Kim made it to no. 2. Some guy named Mugabe is apparently even WORSE. Still, Kim Jong il’s name is so appropriate, because he is making me SICK.

…Or it could be this rapid fire random select weather that mother nature is putting on me. I swear, the stairs need to be put on a mobile platform this year.

2003 invasion of Iraq - Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

It happens more than we like to admit.

yeah he walked into that one…

until bad shit goes down.
south koreans want us there, son.

But when shit goes wrong, we’re expected to do something…in fact, we’re usually the FIRST country to ever help. What would happen if we just said, “Whatever. Tired of your bitching about us. Deal with it yourself.” whenever a disaster or war happened? Would we be looked at as evil, or just as evil as if we had jumped in to intervene? And the countries that start pitching in after we do (i sometimes wonder if saving face was their only reason for helping other countries in natural disasters)…would they not help at all, because our lack of help isn’t making them look like drag-asses?

actually we’re rarely the first country to give support during humanitarian crisis abroad. That’s as much a myth as America has the best healthcare in the world () or has the best education, etc…

during a crisis, americans usually give the most private donations per person than any other country.

I understand the US standing by their allies, but S.Korea can take care of itself. The most the US should do is just supply the weapons and equipment and leave it at that.

Considering today that “communist” countries have either collapsed or become our biggest trading partners, that’s doesn’t seem like such a problem.

The whole “Red menace” was mostly manufactured propaganda used by the US government to justify their actions overseas and towards its own citizens.
You can say the same about about the whole Terrrorism boogey man today. How many freedoms are you willing to give up to ensure your safety from the evil Al Qeada?

Besides these so-called “communist” countries are more oligarchical than anything else. They just twisted the whole concept of communism to suit their own needs.

I’m just saying given the US’s track record of “nudging” events to suit their own needs, I wouldn’t put anything past them. It wouldn’t be too hard to provoke an unstable country like N.Korea to do something stupid. Why would they do this? I don’t know… maybe they see N.Korea as a threat they cannot ignore, but they don’t want to get their hands dirty?

I could be totally off base admittedly and maybe N.Korea is just a country ruled by crazy, delusional possibly inbred psychos with a death wish, but I’ll continue to question anything the US government is involved in.

And before one of you comes in and says “If yoo don’t like it, then giiit out derp” I actually love being an American and I enjoy the freedom to question the government if I don’t agree with its policies. It’s what true democracy is all about… in theory.

exactly my point. We went in there and took out Saddam. Who the fuck cares what happens after, to be honest. I certainly could give two shits less who takes over afterwards.

Kim has gotta go. Just assassinate his ass and be done with it.

:headshake:

Your retarded and there’s a lot of people that agree with you. The bolded is the reason we get into situations with these asshole dictators who the U.S. govt. puts into power. Then said asshole dictator does something the the U.S. doesn’t like and then all of the sudden our attention is brought to these “EVIL EVIL PERSONS”. It’s pathetic but not surprising with all the legit info out, people still think like this.

This is just the Iraq situation. As far as the Korean War went, it was two dictators going at it, we just decided to back one to have our influence in the part of the world.

Kim is a monster. His father was a monster. All evidence points towards his son being a monster. For like 30-40 years we’ve had to listen to stories of him sinking Korean subs, attacking civilians, having people butchered with a hatchet just for trying to cut down a tree, and soooo many other horror stories. You better believe if the US goes in and wipes their ass with him, the next person is going to be a little less stupid in their actions, even if they still wanna be a dick to their country.

And we didn’t go into Iraq for Saddam. Unless they suddenly changed the spelling of OIL and MONEY to SADDAM while I went out for dinner.

IF they do got to war we get more war games thats a good thing.

How about the problem of repatriating communist citizens into free society after those inevitable collapses? Doubly so for the North Korean regime, whom honestly are probably more endoctrinated and brainwashed into the personality cult and communist ideology than Soviets during Stalinism.

Which would be better, repatriating the 24,000,000 N. Koreans post collapse, or repatriating those 24,000,000 plus however many of the 48,000,000 South Korean citizens would still be alive should the sum of Korea been under communist rule and had to suffer the same food shortages and human rights abuses their Northern counterparts face today?

I seriously wish I could neg you right now.

^what he said.

Wrong, our Navy is one of the first there, if not the first, and we usually top all others in private donations. We are actually johnny on the spot when it comes to helping out others.

Nobody else has a Navy capable of doing this, our military does a ton of humanitarian work, it just doesn’t make headlines.

This comment from Kevin Hart sums it up the best.

If some country keeps on getting poked by the neighboring country and it can cry to mommy for help and scare the bully away. That country will always cry to mommy for help and become dependent on outside help. You let them duke it out themselves and become more or less self-sufficient at least.
