Hey guys. Siiiiick to see everyone contributing here and actually getting shit going. I’m down to go wherever. Unfortunately I work on weekends except sundays. So for me, Sundays and Mondays are the best right now. Link the FB group when it gets made. Also I think with the heads here, I’m experienced in setting some of these things up, I think we should start a stream. People that we meet from here can hop into lobbies and play while voice chatting or commentating. We could also use it for promoting the scene and the weekly tournament were setting up. Also iv met jrosa at yestercades in red bank and he lives in NJ. MarlinPie is from here also, jrosa said he plays with him all the time.
We should totally job on that idea! I know my boyfriend and I are working on a fighting YouTube channel (like we need another one of those lmfao)! We should totally make a twitch account so everyone can definitely hop on and interact with one another plus get the North Jersey scene going strong!!
hey everyone… im in bergen county as well… i actually work at GSP and know some employees that work in the MS store. Here’s what i know… they are now located in the new wing (not in the food court) and they have a kiosk right in front of the store that runs a xb1 and a pc touch screen setup. They also run games on the big multi-display screen but the lag is horrific. They do also have the xb1 setups inside with those GAEMS portable monitors setup. I can get in touch with my friends that work there to see if it is even feasible. Let me know yall…

I dont have a capture card but Im willing to set up software on my PC. But then we could only stream USF4 which is fine, but I would like to add marvel. Im still theorizing how the tech would work to have commentators and such. I dont really like watching streams without people giving some input (if they know what theyre saying at least lol) and it would give us opportunities to get sponsors, talk about the FGC in NJ and tournaments, etc. I think what we could do is have google hangouts as a way to do that. Anyone we know from NJ FGC could be given permission into the hangout, then we’ll just mute everyone except the 2 people who feel like commentating. That way only one computer would be actually streaming, and everyone could still remotely hop on and off for commentating as they see fit. I can make the twitch account and start setting shit up for a stream but itll have to be USF4 on PC until I can hand it off to someone with a capture card
My boyfriend and I are working on getting an El Gato. We’re actually waiting for the $20 off in-store price at Gamestop, but we may do Amazon to get it for cheaper.
If we really wanted, we could rotate commentators–kind of what they do at EVO where they have Champs and pros comment different fights sessions. So, we could do different streams hosted by different people. We would have to mute everyone else as we’ve all played online at some point and we know how annoying some people can be when they’re losing or they’re being a bum. ;3
If I recall correctly, the PS4 can directly record and stream onto Youtube and/or Twitch—I know it can at least make a Youtube Video.
Yeah i felt like the commentating could go like at most tourneys where people just do it as they feel like it. But if we have different streams could they be under the same twitch account? Cuz I could make the account now, as long as we could use that one for different streams simultaneously
Yeah that’s fine. I was just thinking if like we alternate commentators (who want to do that of course) that’d be awesome.

Sounds good to me! We should totally let some of the local area arcades know we’re doing this to get some traffic to the twitch account.
I believe someone already mentioned this, but if we have a twitch account and record the matches where ever we are and post them to twitch. So people will always see our activities no matter if they’re able to catch it in person or not.
I need a catchy name for this thing. Some ideas I had: North Jersey Fight Club; NJFGC, i cant think of anything unique lol. I dont think it needs to be complicated or anything but I sort of want to have it be distinguished
All of these ideas are really good and it’d be great to get the word out more. This post on the forums has generated a lot of attention so hopefully all of the effort we put in could generate a whole lot more. I’m making the group now so once it’s up I’ll post the link on here.
Okay everyone, put in 2 of your ideas for the name of the group (which will basically be the name of the stream as well). After everyone says their ideas, we’ll vote on them and then Drrn can make the page and twitch account.

If there were local arcades I wouldnt be on this page LOL! But of course i know what you mean, Next Level, Local Battles, and 8 on the Break I assume. You guys have no idea how long iv waited to do something like this…I even contemplated opening an arcade…that would have gone poorly I believe haha.

Haha I’ve had that “open an arcade” idea more than once. I’m glad there’s other people out there who share the same amount of interest in starting the fgc as I do lol
