Not sure how it works on XBL, but on PSN the compete game is on the trial demo you download. Paying the $15 just lets you download the 6kb Unlock Key to your system.
If you have to be connected to the internet on XBOX at all times to play Skullgirls then wow…that’s really dumb.
Like SFxT dumb.
Problem exists with SSF4 for 360 too. Sometimes you need to be connected to the internet/XBL to be able to play the AE version if you’re simply just bringing in your own hard drive.
That’s typically how it works for XBL as well and there’s a file associated with that specific box/console that basically says “The game is unlocked for THIS system” once you pay to unlock it.
Yeah if you’re only using the hard drive you have to play under the account that downloaded the file which means you’re gonna have to be online in order to play. Otherwise you could just have someone pay for the game and copy it to multiple systems for free.

It’s how XBL content works in general. Upon purchase of content it becomes attached to the specific system used to purchase it and your online XBL login. Afterward you need one of the two to access it. This situation came about because he purchased it on a system that wasn’t his. While Microsoft allows users to change the system content is attached to, they only allow it once every four months.

GGs at WNB everyone. Lu put on a damn good show with dat Mai in grand finals. Looking forward to more matches in the future. Did you guys notice a distinct lack of HD combos in finals though? I think there was only like… 1 the entire time lol.

Had fun at WNB as usual. Was salty about my lackluster tournament performance. But I’ll just keep working, grinding, and getting that XP. No quit in me. I’ll be great at Marvel…one day.
WNB Episode 15 was a totally blast!!!
We had everyone who is anyone in the FGC around the area come out last night for an amazing tournament. Thank you very much for coming out and supporting WNB the hottest weekly fighting game tournament series. Everyone had a good time and we are more than happy with the results in terms of WNB featuring 4 games; which is now a standard so expect the same number of games from now on.
Shoutouts to the TG, BFP, RAF teams for putting a good word out for WNB and bringing everyone out and of course a big shoutout to the KOF crowd for bringing the hype with that KOF goodness, respect!
Although the tournament ran smooth last night there are a couple of things that we need to address.
-Remember that WNB is a bring your own controller event, so far everyone has been nice enough to let others use their arcade stick or pad to play but that has resulted in a bracket slowdown since we end up with players waiting for their controllers because they let others borrow them. Get your stick, pad, converter, do what you got to do to play, is not a big issue but tourneys would run smoother and faster thus everyone would have more time for casuals and such.
-WNB starts at 6:00PM and tourneys start at 7:30 or 8:00 at the latest. Some players missed out on the action last night due to not showing up on time, let me remind you that my contact information as well as the other two TH members that run registration for WNB is posted on the threads both on SRK, TH fan page, and TH discussion group so if you know you will be late then hit us up with a call or text so that we can put your name down for whatever game you are playing. Big thanks to CommonSense, Demo, TG Killanator, and TG GameWizard for helping us get in touch with players that were on their way, some actually were able to make it and compete and some unfortunately had to be disqualified or sent to looser’s bracket and we apologize about that but not only we waited an hour but we also came to a point in which our bracket was on hold due to matches not being played. We open doors at 6:00 and tourneys start at 7:30 or 8:00 at the latest, sorry to say this but unfortunately we can’t wait for players to show up past 9:00 to enter the tourneys.
-Last night we had someone walked out on their tab, leaving us to pay the bill…no worries though since we got it all sorted out and it was an honest mistake from the player so there were no bad intentions on his part. We just want to remind everyone to be respectful of the venue and the nice waitresses that help everyone out; Champps has been too good to us so let’s keep it classy for the benefit of the venue and the FGC. Not calling anyone out it’s just a quick side note to acknowledge.
Ant that covers it all, again no big issues and no one is angry, these are just little things that we just need to get out of the way so that we are on point with WNB and the scene that everyone is part of here in Raleigh. And with that taken care of we can now move on to the results. Congratulations to the top 3 players of each game, players are leveling up and the competition is only getting better.

I’ve been living in raleigh for a while now, and playing fighting games for about as long, but I’ve never participated in any meet-up/tournament anythings with the community. I really like SG, and I kind of want to now. Can anyone tell me when and where there will be upcoming stuff happening, tournaments or otherwise?
