Well after serioulsy giving Cap/Trish/Thor a try at the behest of Narcowski, I have to say Thor is too low-tier, even for me. Poor movement options, I can’t mash buttons on wakeup to win any trade. While the easy-mode combos for high damage are nice, they come in far too little to matter. Many times if I end up with just my anchor I automatically lose. So I am changing to Chris for the time being. Gun Fire is a semi-beam assist, still allows my two-meter 900k Captain America combo from anywhere and XF3 Chris does pretty decent chip damage, plus has loads more mobility than Thor. Still clunky with him but thats what experience is for. Trying for Chris anchor but may switch to Cap(a)/Chris(b)/Trish(b) since I’m used to and comfortable with Trish anchor.

Tried SFxT and don’t know. It’s a lot more difficult than it looked and while I could do some combos, it all felt weak. Definitely need to learn links. Gonna try to do training mode in SF4 (if SFxT is easier on timing, then this should be more work than needed) and may try it again at a later time. Who could you recommend for learning the SF4 system? I like Rose, T.Hawk, Juri, Cammy and Guile (though I’m not too good with chargers). Want to get better at the game but still consider Marvel my best.

Also rolling with Maxima/Kula/Beni in KoF though I want to switch Beni. Maxima feels like Anji with the guard point thing and Kula is just awesome (plus I can do her HD combos.) Looking for characters that are relatively simple, has a reversal and not too technical. I was told Terry would be a good choice for me.

Clark also has guard points and is a grappler if Maxima doesn’t work out for you.

I’d certainly like to see some SC5 going on somewhere, I really don’t want to put such a game in the “other games” playlist but if I can only get one video :x at the least I can probably expect it at ReSe this coming 14th of April.

Rockem Sockem NC Ranbats start this week!!

Weekly Ranbats begin with Charlotte starting on Wednesdays,
Greensboro every Thursday,
Fayetteville every Friday.

There will 4 games played for the points. Marvel, KOF, AE, & SFxT. We can pick up SCV if there is enough demand for it but time is an issue when running 5 games that everyone has to enter.
Every location will be competing in the same games.

Make sure you read up on the event and please don’t hesitate to ask any questions you have.

We start at 6:00PM and we run casuals until 7:30PM or 8:00PM when the tournaments begin. We run two tournaments at once on ALL of our setups, we run KOFXIII and SXT or AE2012 depending on the week, and we run UMVC3 at the end. None of our setups will be available for casual play so that we can finish the 3 tournaments on time, after the tournaments or when setups become available casuals can be played. If you want to play casuals during tournament then feel free to bring your setup either console or lagless monitor or both, feel free to ask other players in the TH group www.facebook.com/groups/tierlessheroes to help out such as you bring your monitor and they bring their console. Bringing your setup for casuals will not waive you the venue fee and you have control over who uses your setup and you are also responsible for it as well.
