Hey what’s up guys? Just wanted to stop through and post up the info for the 2012 EVO Midwest Championships (MWC). That’s right, we are an EVO qualifier this year, and are looking to make this the biggest MWC yet!
This year’s MWC will be held in Nashville, TN. Specifically at the South’s premier arcade, Game Galaxy, which is owned and operated by OG tournament player and veteran game collector Jason “DreamTR” Wilson!
All of the info on location, fees, and scheduling, is contained in the tournament thread, so I won’t make this post overcrowded by including it all here:

Well, I like SFxT because it feels more like an old Capcom game, at least for now it does.
Characters I like right now are Asuka, Poison and Hugo. I want to try Alisa though, she looks pretty fun.
Also, I want to do some 2-player co-op stuff somehow, somewhere. It just sounds so fun to me lol. Some places have done 2v2 random teams tournaments, that’s an amazing idea.
2v2 Team Tournament sounds like fun period. But random teams would be enjoyable too.
So I’ll be in NC late this week… And I might be at ReSe if I’m not dead tired after the drive from GA. I’m interested in this SFxT 2v2 as well.
ReSe will have a 2v2 tourney at the end when we do teams. I can’t wait to try it out. It looks like it would be a lot of fun. I am getting on Amazon right now to get some USB hubs. If anyone knows or any good hubs that don’t shit out like the cheap ones do then please let me know. I need them cheap cause I have to buy a couple few, I am thinking 4 - 6. 2 systems should be enough to run teams.
I’m open to play, but I work weird hours so it’s tough (then again you do too). I’ll be moving back to Greensboro next month.

So been messing around with SfxT and the game is pretty fun. Been using Asuka/Juri and that team seems really good. Asuka’s combos are so pretty. Juri seems a little broke though she does way too much damage (500 meterless in the corner wtf?).
One thing that does bother me is the damage scaling in this game is really annoying. The way it is it favors short (like 3-4) attack combos with heavy attacks and specials into supers to do the best damage which really negates all of the flashy and cool tag combos you can do.
They should have raised the minimum damage on moves and lowered overall damage so that doing longer combos wouldn’t be completely worthless. SF4s damage scaling system does not belong in a game with juggles as long as this.
Other than that the game is pretty fun although I still feel that KoF13 is better. It is a HUGE step up from SF4 as far as fun is concerned.

That sounds like the same damage scaling in SF4. All the long extended combos are scaled to death, damage difference was always negligible.

What version of the game are you hacking?
Less hits + More damage in the hits = stronger combos.
They probably kept it this way to keep damage off of crouching light confirms to a minimum. At most if you confirm off lights you’ll get about 2-300. Probably better this way… no one wants to eat half life off of jab jab jab jab. Also lets us keep combos simple while still effective.
Arm: What Juri combos are you doing out of curiosity? Like with her on point and also post tag? When I tag I usually just do cr.HP JC j.HP land cr.MK > LK pinwheel, but I feel there’s better out there.
