HOT DAMN! That Catherine is only $24 with free shipping!
Claw Iori is sick. Pure rushdown character with disgusting damage and mixup potential.
Well that all depends on how many people we have for what games. The major 4 will be a no brainer. SFxT, Marvel, SF4, KOF XIII. As long as we have an 8 man bracket for a game then we can do a RanBat for it. Tekken is looking like it will have a few people for it but I am not sure. If there is something you want to play bring it. If it has a following and more than 8 people want to play it every week then we will do a RanBat for it
Hope that answered your question.
1 more week till the next Rockem Sockem tourney guys. Get ready. Looks like this will be a huge bracket for SFxT, everyone seems to like it or love it. I remember back when 4 came out and Lucky’s had an 80 man bracket or something. I am figuring about 50 - 60 for it but it may be more, I am preparing for more just in case

Also with the NY guys coming out every month now NC looks to have some more good competition to start leveling up and get our names back on the map
Remember: Wireless PS3 pads are banned. I have 8 controllers with the batteries disconnected for people to use but it’s first come first serve.
Also I believe Gummo is making this tourney too so if you need any work done on your stick or controller let me know so I can tell him. He will make it out and set up a booth if he has at least 3 confirmed mods to do.
See you guys soon.
Also the RanBats are starting on the 14th. Can’t wait to get out and play NC on a regular basis. I think we all have a lot to learn from each other

Will gems be banned for SFxT? Also, good stuff at Final Round, saw you play a couple AE matches on stream.
Yeah they’ll be banned.
Yo im in Durham this morning for an interview. I go in at 10am and will problably be done around 10:30-11. I know its early, but anybody trying to play today txt/call 704 264 5157 thnx.
I don’t see why you’d play him over Flame Iori, who has the same or very close to the same rushdown potential and is more versatile.
Claw Iori’s more interesting, but I think Flame is top tier for a reason.
Wish I had known about that Arcana tourney- would have given it a shot. I still think the game’s pretty decent. Ended up playing some at FR in the hotel.
Claw Iori has been consistently ranked higher than Flame Iori for the duration of console release. His damage potential is just higher overall, and Flame Iori really does not offer many significant benefits in comparison due to some moveset nerfs he has received. Flame is better on point, but Claw is better everywhere else.
But did you know if the next match isn’t a dream match then he will be considered an ex character most likely if he’s in the game?
Spoilers
At the end of the game, Saiki’s existence is erased from time which then basically kills Ash (because if Saiki wasn’t alive then Ash def can’t be), Iori gets his powers back and you see him laughing/going crazy again with the purple flame.
I still don’t get why they reverted Kyo back to his weaker self technically. Since EX Kyo is when he needed to train up and get more powerful moves and flashier and so on because his current self (94 kyo/12/13) wasn’t able to keep up with people anymore.
Technically XI Kyo was supposed to be a combination of both versions, but they dropped that idea because of lack of effort.
Console XI added EX Kyo (from NGBC) anyway.
When KOFXII came around, the marketing was a “re-start” of KOF to explain why characters were stripped down to their 94’ versions (of course allowing them to release an unfinished game with movesets).
In the story, Kyo trained up in KOF 96 after getting his ass kicked by Goenitz, which explains the version of Kyo that most people are familiar with (KOF 97/98). All of the moves technically belong to the same style (which explains the numbering of Kyo, Iori, Saisyu, Shingo, and Chizuru’s moves), Kyo just doesn’t usually use them because he’s lazy and doesn’t need to fight to his full potential to beat people.
Math, Science, and Biology prevents this from happening. This is a public service announcement for the sleeping pharahos. Study and read a book.
Also invest in a sturdy belt to keep your pants from falling down.
Thanks guys for the invites but, i decided to come back home and chill out, from the looks of things ill be a permanent rdu resident. Ill keep everyone posted… may need a roommate for a little bit.
If there is no education first, the belt will never get purchased. REVERSAL.

Very good and congratulations. Welcome to RDU!

I could probably write an essay on why those guys aren’t running shit and it’s got nothing to do with Math, Science, or Biology.
I agree personally. I haven’t seen anything from regular Iori that makes me think he has more than Flames, other than damage. Flames has better meterless damage, can HD off of a command grab, has an invincible reversal, and the fastest fireball. Their normals are pretty much the same. I really don’t see how Claw is better personally except for damage. Even when I asked Reynald why Claw Iori is considered so good, all he said was “high and easy damage”.

How would the essay start? If you fake a fireball you better make sure I jump before you throw out an uppercut.

"Hood ninjas with pants sagging, concealing their afro pick throwing stars and shea butter caltrops. Could they be our next political leaders? "
That one guy in the blue hoodie looks like he just finished taking a shit and forgot to pull his pants up. Good stuff.
Education and access to resources prevents that picture from coming into existence.
“what did you say about political leaders?”
