So after playing KoF last night at WNB I am pretty convinced that Vice just isn’t that great aside from lol anti air -> death combo one time. I kind of want a new character that isn’t so ridiculously meter dependant because if I ever use HD with Leona my Vice is just stranded when it comes to her turn.
I am debating between Mature, K’ and Kula.
Mature seems like the best character out of the three but shes also ridiculously hard. She has awesome combos though. Kind of leaning to her.
K’ is pretty standard and everyone uses him so I know what I am getting there.
Kula is really the only one I don’t know about. I know she got some nerfs since the arcade but it doesn’t seem like anyone at all plays her anymore.

If I get beat up pretty badly at the dojo its because I messed up, but don’t let any scars I may obtain fool you as if I didn’t learn anything nor level up at all. Until then, back to my Goku regimen.

Kula’s still a very high-mid to top character, she just isn’t as braindead as she usually is so the bandwagoners ran away from her (just like they did Raiden and Elizabeth)
She’s worth using, though I don’t think you’ll get much of a surprise gimmick factor bonus from using her.
Don’t worry, I think I figured out either A) What’s missing from my game that you were exploiting or B) What’s missing from your game that everyone else is exploiting. We shall see if we ever fight in tournament.
Also is it just me or does KOF take a lot of god damn focus to play effectively? I can’t play it at the same level I play it in tournaments in casuals, I feel like I’d wear myself out. I don’t know if anyone noticed but I play waaaaaay harder in tournament than in casuals.
Yeah it’s just a matter of executing with him under pressure. Charge moves are so unnatural for me. Don’t really feel like I’m getting the most out of the character, plus being jumped on for free kinda sucks.

That’s how I feel about Kula as well. Against a decent player, you have to be really good at converting hit confirms, mixing up block strings and can’t Lay Spin for free like in arcade anymore…lol. Been playing her since day 1 and still my favorite character in the game.
I have 10 ASUS monitors and 5 consoles (3 PS3, 2 360) not counting what people bring. I will run ANY game that people want to play for casuals ALL night!! However the RanBats will be for the ones with 8 or more consistent entrants. I will also have the stream equipment setup to record if Lucky’s internet is good enough.
Yes please do check the FB group regularly as a lot of things go on there. All of the important things I post on here first but it gets lost in the shuffle and on FB I can bump the thread to the top, tag people, or just make a document for it. Much much easier to get info out!!

Had a great time at WNB. Tierless Heroes, you guys run a very smooth and fun tournament series. Venue and people were awesome. You guys got 3 new fans with the BFP guys. Myself, Blue, and Torrence enjoyed ourselves. Definitely would like to get that good cross promotion on in the future. We are gonna spread the word about y’all and will be back.

As far as my tourney performance, I surprisingly went 3-2. Leveling up is fun. Having a pretty encouraging rookie season lol.
Finally got to play The Jon Slayton in the Marvel tourney. I see why he’s The Jon. He graciously put me into losers. Hope I wasn’t too free. Wanna be at least BOGO, buy one get one hehe.
I love this game. Learning something new every event I attend.
