Picked up BBSEX today. I liked Relius enough to get the game. Probably be putting some time into it at some point.

I was thinking the same. He just feels like the kind of character that would do well with a cross up. j.D randomly crosses up sometimes but it seemslike everything has the potential to cross up in KoF, even if it wasn’t designed to.

But yeah I don’t think Duo Lon is all that bad as a character, just not that great comparatively. Kinda like SSF4 Fei was the best one but because of how he stacked up against the other characters, he wasn’t considered as good as he is in AE.

Not really important though. It’s more about the player than the character in the end.

Me and Lu were talking about that yesterday and to be honest i did not like the whole cancle out of my move and give my self frame advantage thing in GG even though i know that SF IV has FADC the way it worked in GG was kind of out of control. On top of that i did not like just gaurd system either because it was a way to modify advantage from defensive position. I like the effort made to add and extra mechanic to give the player options on offense and defence, but with the mulitiple revisons i would like to have one set of frame data to learn and not multiple lvs and each one is a different frame advantage or disadvantage if roman cancled out or just gaurd. It was “in my opinon” brainoverload with small return in fun factor. By the way how is it that the GG community(what is left of it in here) had the ability to build up such a fear of talking about GG. I get that feeling when i see people talk about it in a constructive manner. Be afraid to so nothing as long as it is in the spirit reseach and development.

I never thought Roman Cancel was all that bad, it added some flexibility to characters. BB has it too. I just didn’t like FRCs, since they were prohibitively difficult and necessary to play certain characters. IMO if I were to design the game, FRC’s wouldn’t have been just frames, just RCing certain moves would only cost 25% instead of 50, to encourage the use of that move. No reason it needed to be 2-3 frames.

I am also against instant block / just guard in fighting games. Some people like it though. I just don’t like the variance on something I don’t have much control over.

arcade version duolon had the hyper hop j.B fwd.B crossup after an rekka reset. this made him a very scary after any bnb because it lead to a very dumb 50/50 and on some characters this was actually unblockable.

As a player from Atlanta I’m use to driving 1 and a 1/2 to two hours in traffic and such just to game. I’m probably gonna drive and play as many people as possible to make the most of being in NC anyway since everyone is so spread apart. PM me the info please.

The lady is sick guys so I wont be able to make it to anything tonight. I know its not as awesome as “I overslept” but there it is.

Also I may NOT be able to do Brawl at the Beach. I got called about the driving course I have to take to make the ticket I got when I went to ReSe disappear and guess when it is…SATURDAY at 8am. Wow. CS2 I felt he was viable but underpowered, if you know what I mean. As in, you could win but you had to beat your opponent to do it, the game wouldn’t give you anything. Hearing he was buffed is nice.

I’m still on the fence about this game- but more because I want to play other stuff then because of any hate. I respect this game now.

We talked about GG all the time. The problem with talking about it on SRK is that most here were only interested to the point of “It looks cool, but I’m too scared of the amount of effort required,” which is coincidentally the same thing I see with KOF nowadays. I answered every question that was asked of me, even giving everybody a blueprint on how to beat my character that was entirely based on the actions of people who beat me in tournaments.

My bad, he used to mess with Abba and May but I think more specifically it was May. Of course he can answer for himself, just always liked the fact that in the GG days our top players were really impressive, many won major tournaments. Which is why I compulsively answered for him because I kind of want a new version of GG to get out and get big since it was my favorite fighting game during that era.

If a new GG came out, I’d judge it on its own merits, but I’d have a skeptical eye. Also, I think I’m at the point now where I don’t really want to learn a new series from scratch unless it’s really appealing to me for some other reason- Skullgirls interests me because of its art.

If they did this they are actually in the wrong. If you had the game reserved, they are supposed to hold it for 48 hours AFTER release day…phone call or not. Meaning the game came out on Tuesday (Wednesday in smaller volume stores) so you were supposed to have until the end of business today (or tomorrow) to pick up your game.

BlazBlue isnt one of the AAA titles that released this week either, those being Twisted Metal and UFC Undisputed 3 (the game that the idiots in charge of SRK news deem important enough to put front page) so the fact that you reserved it means that they will get limited copies and that the copies they get are supposed to be saved for those who reserved them. Things like this are why I dont fucking like that company.
