GGs @ EZ. Got good sf4 practice in against people better than me. And of course the most fun was had on the PS2; them gamez were just made better. I’m thinking of getting into KOF13 since everyone plays it and the opinions from people I deem valuable are pushing me. I’d probably play Kyo because HEAT-KNUCKLE.

I kind of was. Either or, I should be there unless I get struck by lightning. I’ll bring the usual lcd and a console, but I only have 4 chairs and I donts got no fight money for customization.
Went out to Carolina Game Summit yesterday. It’s amazing how bad some of those people are out there. There were provided 3rd party ps3 controllers that pretty much everyone used. There were only a handful of people with sticks or their own controllers. Anyways, here are the results I can remember.

Jon got a hori fight stick and I got a caanoo. Pretty much like a psp. Seems that it’s ideal for running older emulators.
I was one of those handful. Went 1-2. Bodied my first opponent then got sent to losers by losing twice by mere pixels then got eliminated by mere pixels. My two Ls were some of the most pressure moments I’ve ever been in during my relatively short time in the scene.
The last one was last character last game. Was down 0-1, my Doctor Strange had no meter and his Sentinel had 3 bars and the life lead. Zoned and baited Hard Drive twice then Reading Rainbow got me enough. 1-1, came down to my Strange again vs. his Spencer. He pulled that out.
But I learned some things. My Frank West Lv. 3 reset can work! Hulk’s Gamma Charge can beat Cap’s Hyper Charging Star AND (w/range) Strange’s Reading Rainbow can be beat by Doom’s finger lasers…somehow. Shoulda done Ringmaster counter. Da well.
Had fun. I wondered why so many people entered and then didn’t show up, why was it so hot, and during the AE (peeked in to support Donnie aka Roxx) why there were so many open TVs at times during the meatier parts of the tourney.
The seminars we attend were good, entertaining and informative. Dug the atmosphere as a whole.
CGS was fun. I played a lot better after I remembered I hadn’t eaten all day haha.
Grand finals in SF4 was possibly the most boring match I’ve ever seen in SF. Someone was like “I want to put this on my highlight reel for this project I’m working on”. And me and OJ just looked at him like “Why…”.
You could set two training dummies to hold down back and leave the camera on training mode for 20 minutes and get the same footage.
Also OJ, the Marvel Plaque looks like ass. The SSF4 was a lot cooler T_T

I think it shows how conditioned casuals are to Capcom games. I see this on another forum I’m on, where when they talk about fighting games, they’re hype for SFvsTK, and think KOF is “too hard”.
