lol Flame Iori is an even bigger homage to old SNK than I thought.
Unbalanced, sloppily completed, and released as a blatant cash grab way too late in the season?
I get this crazy weird slowdown with MBAACC online my online has never been good per say, but it normally runs full speed at least this just slowdowns down to a few frames per second and is no where close to playable.
Both DSL and Cable are ass where I live there is no good internet, they will both go out a few times a month for around a day or so. Can’t get anything better then 150ms on a really good day(250ms normally), sometimes I can’t beat 400-500ms and of course lag spikes of 4-5 seconds cropping up every few minutes makes it rough playing LoL or FPS, and makes fighters normally impossible on good days the 150ms I can survive with a few games that lend themselves well to lag play but it still sucks.
What part of him was unbalanced? Saw multiple Flame Iori users at the EZ tournament and none were doing anything that’s even close to broken. I still think he’s inferior to claw iori.
I don’t think Iori with the flames is too bad. Every character seems really strong in this game. Over all I’m highly pleased with the console version of this game.When back and played 2k2um and wow I wish 13 had all those moves/characters n stuff.(._.) Well I know they delayed the release of NEST Kyo for now, but is anybody gonna play up at EZ anyway tonight? If so I’ll meet yall there.

When you say multiple Flame Iori users, were any of them named Darrell? That character is stupid strong, but only if you played Iori seriously in old KOF.

I don’t think Flame Iori is broke by KOF13 standards. I don’t think any character is actually broken as of right now, and I don’t think any character really sucks, which means SNK did a good job on the balance. That said, three months might change things.

I’m not sure what that video was supposed to demonstrate. I mean, that combo took full HD and five bars. Most characters can kill someone with that kind of meter in a single combo. Flame Iori certainly can.
I think you would be hard-pressed to find someone who can’t. Don’t even need a perfect start either most of the time.
edit: Just watched the vid that is in the arcade that combo would only cost 4 meters now.
Shrug the same could be said of all religions etc etc. Shen’s kill combo only costs 4 bars now and it’s dead simple. Highly hilarious as well.
Oh ou8t of curiosity, does Uverse fall under the same crap DSL rule? That’s what I have for online. Marvel is actually playable locally on it… played mad tea party yesterday and the lag was about the same as playing on a plasma TV.
I know I’ve missed a lot, but does anyone know the actual dates to any tournaments going on in January if there are any? I want to start coming out to some tournaments if I can. Also samurai guy, do you stay in or around Raleigh? I want to see about coming out and checking what all the fuss is about :).

Darrel, Pac Strife, my friend and a few others. Nobodys proven to me that Flame Iori is some broken or busted character in fact i’m really unimpressed with him as a character vs flame iori wise because of how hyped up he is. Nobody in California, or anywhere in the world so far has posted anything or played him in a tournament that i’ve seen (saw all of SCR and the 5v5 Qualifiers as well) in a way that I think is broke. He’s good but he’s just another flavor of Iori. It would be like me saying Ken is broken compared to Ryu because Ken has a tatsumaki thats + on hit. Really curious to see a video from someone demonstrating why he’s better than the entire cast.
Uverse is fiber but I’m not sure (I don’t think) it’s FTTP (fiber to the premise) which can make a big difference.
For some reason Nests Kyo is delayed to January on PSN. They’re going to drop the price to 3 bucks to compensate for the wait.
